Developed by Dynamite Idea Interactive Gaming, “Squares” is a six-number multi-bet draw game that can be found in the fixed odds section of online casinos such as Bet365. It features a 6 x 6 matrix of sequential numbers surrounded by a roulette-type wheel of numbered slots, 1~36.

The player may choose from any of six different bet types to begin a game of Squares: Odds-Evens, Totals, Hit-or-Miss, Corners, High-Low or Middle. The categories appear as tabs at the upper left corner of the game window. Although a single bet is sufficient to start the game, the game can accommodate nine different wagers on its visible Bet Slip, which appears on the right side of the display, with room for 20+ additional bets in a hidden “More” section of the Bet Slip.

To wager on Odds-Evens, the player must predict the odds/evens split of all six numbers drawn, from 6-0, 5-1, 4-2, etc. on to 0-6. The payouts range from 2.8X to 80X. It is also possible to bet on whether more odds or evens will appears at a rate of 2.88X. Choose the amount to bet by using the +/- toggles that flank the “Stake” value for each selection from €0.10 to €15. The wager posts automatically to the Bet Slip.

For Totals, predict the total value of all six numbers by selecting a range: 21~57, 58~93, 94~129, 130~165 or 166~201. The payout odds range from 1.73X to 80X. Stakes run from €0.10 to €15. Again, the wager posts automatically to the Bet Slip.

Hit or Miss is an opportunity to identify from 1 to 6 numbers the player believes will either appear or not appear. The chosen numbers are marked on a copy of the matrix and the Stake is selected using toggles that appear below. To add the wager to the Bet Slip, click on the red “Submit Bet” arrow.

Corners is for wagering on how many of the corner numbers of the matrix will hit, at odds of 2.05X for none to 2,500X for all four. High-Low is a bet on whether the last number drawn will be higher or lower than the first one, and Middle is for betting on how many of the 16 numbered squares in the interior of the matrix will be hot, from 0 to 6, at odds of 2.88X to 150X.

Once all of the bets have been placed, it is possible to remove a wager from the Bet Slip by clicking on the red “X” that appears at the end of the Bet Slip line. It is also possible to have the game remember a wager for future use by clicking on the gold star that appears on the Bet Slip line. And to change the amount of the wager, clicking on the “Stake” amount will bring up the +/- toggles to adjust the value.

To begin the game, click on the gold “Submit Bets” button at the bottom of the screen. A pop-up will appear with the title, “Choose How Many Draws.” The player may then choose to have the bet slip play for 1, 2, 5 or 10 consecutive draws. The amount to be wagered per draw shows in the “Total Bet” counter at the bottom right of the display, while the “Total Stake” for all draws appears in the pop-up. Clicking on one of the choices will begin the selected series of draws, else clicking on the pop-up’s blue “Back” button will return to organising the Bet Slip.

When the balls begin falling into positions on the slotted wheel, the corresponding numbers light up in the matrix. After each draw of six balls, a pop-up shows the amount won, if any, and a “Winnings” counter in the lower right corner keeps track of the cumulative rewards. At the bottom of the screen, a “Turbo” switch is available to speed play, and a “Rebet” button can be used to repeat the previous wagers.
