Premier League

Aston Villa will still be looking to fend off the black dog of relegation as they host Everton tomorrow afternoon. The West Midlands club are just two points clear of Sunderland who occupy the final place in the Premier League drop zone.

Should both the Black Cats beat Southampton and Leicester beat Newcastle, Aston Villa will fall back into the bottom three. A win for the 16th placed side, on the other hand, could see them rise to as high as 14th, potentially putting five points between themselves and Sunderland.

Everton are without a doubt safe in 10th with their tally of 44 points. Whilst they could fall two places should they fail to get the better of Villa away from home, a win would see them usurp ninth placed Stoke.

The two sides last met in October at Goodison Park in the reverse Premier League fixture. Scoring three goals without reply saw the Toffees rule supreme on this occasion with their opponents under the stewardship of former manager Paul Lambert. He would later be replaced by former Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood.

Phil Jagielka scored the only goal of the first half on the 18th minute, Roberto Martinez`s men doubling their lead just three minutes after the restart. The Blues would grab their third and final goal of the match through Seamus Coleman, this closing goal coming just 14 minutes from full time.

Betvictor have a massive 35/1 on Everton winning 3-0 at Villa Park with 40/1 (Numerous) the price on Phil Jagielka breaking the deadlock once again. Alternatively, both Betvictor and Coral have 15/4 on the Toffees beating Sherwood`s side by any number of goals to nil with 25/1 (bet365, Betvictor, Coral) saying that Coleman will be the last scorer of the clash.

Everton`s superior league position means that they are the very slight favourites to grab all three points from tomorrow`s match-up. bet365 have the best price on a Toffees victory, this being 9/5. Elsewhere, Villa can be backed at the best price of 20/11 at sportingbet whilst both 888sport and unibet have 7/3 on the match ending tied.

Villa`s 3-2 loss against reigning Premier League champions Manchester City last weekend ended the side`s run of two league games without a defeat. Their home form is still somewhat dismal, the club managing to collect four points from their last five games at Villa Park.

Their last Premier League home game was held right back at the beginning of April, a 3-3 draw with Queens Park Rangers. Christian Benteke was responsible for all three of Villa`s goals and he is up for grabs at 9/1 (unibet) to offer up two or more goals tomorrow afternoon. The Belgian also provided the club`s only goal in their 1-0 away win against Tottenham a week later.

Everton have not tasted defeat in the Premier League in any of their last six matches. Martinez`s men have racked up five wins and a solitary draw in this period, scoring 11 goals and conceding just two. The price is 13/8 (betfred) on the Toffees hitting the back of the net over 1.5 times against Sherwood`s side.

Both Aaron Lennon and Kevin Mirallas contributed two goals each in this six goal period. The former is available at 8/1 at Stan James to add to his tally at any time. The latter scored Everton`s only goal in their 1-0 victory over Burnley and can be picked up at 9/1 (paddy Power) to break the deadlock once again. Otherwise, he scored the final goal in their 3-0 win over Manchester United and is available at the same price at the same bookmaker to be the final goalscorer once again tomorrow.
