Football League One and League Two Games

As players jet off across the globe for international weekend a few League One and League Two games fly the flag for the midweek domestic action, here is our pick of the best bets.

The Sky cameras will be located at a rare place Tuesday night as they broadcast from Huish Park home of Yeovil Town Football Club as they take on Swindon in a big game at the top of League One. Both teams are among seven teams in the division who are seperated by just six points at the top of the table. Yeovil sit in sixth while Swindon are just above them in fifth and a win for either side would move them into third. Bookmakers have Swindon a very short 6/4 (general) for all three points while it is 23/11 (pinnacle) on a Yeovil victory or 12/5 (general) on the draw. The best way to play this though may be in the draw no bet market where you can get 23/20 Yeovil with BetVictor and william hill. Swindon are very strong away side with just one away loss from their last seven (winning three of their last four). Yeovil though are a good home side with eight wins and two draws from their last ten home games in all competitions. This will be a tight game between two sides in similar form and on similar points so take advantage of this game being priced on name reputation.

Sticking with League One and three other games are scheduled to take place. Bury take on Stevenage with the home side entering on the back of a three game losing streak and four straight home defeats. Stevenage meanwhile will be full of confidence after a 4-0 hammering of high-flying Sheffield United on Saturday. Again the way to play this is in the draw no bet market where BetVictor and Coral are offering 6/5 on the visitors. It also looks worth considering Dani Lopez at 15/8 (bet365) in the anytime scorer market in this game. The Spaniard netted a hat-trick against the Blades last time out which is actually his second hat-trick in three games and will fancy his chances against a Bury defence that has leaked 16 goals in their last eight games.

Also in League One Oldham take on Hartlepool in a big game at the bottom. I was going to tip up Hartlepool to get something out of the game (57/17-pinnacle the win or 13/5-BetVictor the draw) before Oldham appoint Lee Johnson (son of Yeovil boss Gary) manager. I think the price is still on the high side for the North Eastern team as the Latics have won just three of their last 15 in the League and Pool have lost just two of their last eleven in the League.

In League Two and Gillingham can extend their gap at the top to seven points on Tuesday night if they see off Rochdale and many people will be tempted by the 13/10 (BetVictor/william hill/Coral) on offer. I can not people off this bet but I think more appealing options are available on the night especially with Rochdale likely to make this game their Cup Final.

At a much better price I like the look of Plymouth to get something from their visit to Southend. pinnacle are offering 17/14 on the Asian Handicap (+0.5) the Pilgrims which pays out on the win or the draw and that seems reasonable considering they saw off Fleetwood at the weekend. This made it a run of just one defeat in five while Southend have not won any of their last six games at home.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Stevenage to beat Bury in draw no bet market, 6/5 (BetVictor/Coral)
SILVER: Yeovil to beat Swindon in draw no bet market, 23/20 (BetVictor/william hill)
BRONZE: Plymouth on the Asian Handicap v Southend, 17/14 (pinnacle)
