Weather permitting a number of games are set to place in League Two this weekend and here is our guide to the best of the bets from these matches.

Many will be tempted by the 8/13 (bet365/Bet Victor/william hill) on offer that leaders Gillingham see off lowly Accrington. A slight word of caution though Stanley are fighting for their lives and have won their last two games netting seven goals. Gillingham meanwhile have won just one of their last six games and have lost at home to Wycombe and Oxford in recent weeks. Try a play of Accrington on the Asian Handicap line at +1.0. This bet would pay out if Stanley win or draw or refund the stake if the loss is only by one. Gillingham have not won any of their last 11 by more than one goal. The bookmaker offering the best odds on this are 188Bet who have this available at 13/15.

Another team to be careful of putting into accumulators are Port Vale who take on bottom of the table Aldershot. The Shots have in fact lost just one of their last five away games and take on a Port Vale side with no win in their last four games. Under no circumstances should you be siding with Vale at odds of 4/5 (bet365/BetVictor/william hill). In fact a case can also be made for siding with Aldershot on the Asian Handicap line at 6/5 (pinnacle) with +0.5. Andy Scott has his team proving difficult to beat and I am not ready to declare Port Vale back in business just because they beat a York side who have hit a wall.

Talking of York it again makes sense to oppose them when they take on Torquay this weekend. Bookmakers have Torquay available at 7/5 (general) which bearing in mind the form York are in looks excellent value. Victory over Chesterfield on Tuesday night was the first under Alan Knill and this could be the turning point the Gulls need to get their season back on track. Visiting York are dire at the moment winning none of their last 14 and grabbing just one goal in their last three. The appointment of Nigel Worthington has yet to bring about a change in fortunes for them. While York are struggling to find the back of the net Torquay have in-form strikers in Rene Howe (two in three games) and Joss Labadie (three in his last three games).

Plymouth did the business for us in midweek and they could again land at bigger odds when they take on Chesterfield on Saturday. The Pilgrims are 7/2 (bet365/boylesports/William Hill) for all three points while the draw is 14/5 (bet365) and a Chesterfield victory is 37/40 (BetVictor). This being said though I prefer other but I would not put anyone off their interest. I also think the same of Burton who are 17/20 (Bet365/BetVictor/pinnacle) to see off Wycombe. The odds look decent considering the form Burton are showing at the moment especially at home where they have scored 21 goals and kept four clean sheets in these games.

Staying with this game I also like the look of a player in the anytime goalscorer market where winger Jacques Maghoma is 21/10 (paddy Power) in the anytime scorer market. The Burton player has already netted 12 times this season and has netted in three of the last five games at the Pirelli.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Torquay to beat York, 7/5 (general)
SILVER: Accrington +1.0 on the Asian Handicap v Gillingham, 13/15 (188 Bet)
BRONZE: Aldershot +0.5 on the Asian Handicap v Port Vale, 6/5 (pinnacle)
