Six games take place in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon and here is our guide to the best of the bets from these games.

The lunchtime kick-off sees Everton take on Man City as both sides look to keep alive a season that has fizzled out in recent months. After a poor showing against Wigan in the FA Cup David Moyes must hope the visit of Man City will bring about a reaction in his players. Everton are 29/10 (bet365) for victory while the draw is 45/17 (pinnacle) and the Man City victory is 11/10 (general). I could see the appeal to some of the City victory at that price though Everton might just produce a performance and so I will give the match markets a swerve. Instead I would recommend a bet on Man City to score over 1.5 goals at 6/5 (Stan James). Everton are likely to be Phil Jagielka and Tim Howard, if Wigan hit them for three then who knows what Man City with the in-form Tevez will do.

One pundit called it a 24 pointer this week as Aston Villa take on QPR in a massive relegation battle. Both sides have started to find life at just the right time and it is 13/10 (bet365/BetVictor/william hill) that Villa win, a draw is 17/7 (pinnacle) while the QPR victory is 38/15 (Pinnacle). The in-form Loic Remy at 2/1 (sportingbet/Stan James/BWin) in the anytime scorer market looks the way to play this.

Southampton are another side desperate for three points though the visit of Liverpool might not have been what was needed. The Merseysiders are in good form and at odds of 19/20 (BetVictor/william hill) might appeal to some. A word of caution though the Saints have a decent record at home to the big teams this season while Liverpool do not win enough away games to justify the odds quoted.

Stoke take on West Brom and the home side know they probably need another couple of wins to be certain of safety. Bookmakers have Stoke at 53/35 (Pinnacle) while the draw is 23/10 (general) and the away win is 11/5 (boylesports). Despite this game meaning more to Stoke I still think the Baggies can get something out of it and would recommend them at 13/10 (betway) in the draw no bet market. The Potters have lost seven of their last nine Premier League games while West Brom have won three of their last four. In addition West Brom have taken four points from their last two visits to the Brittania.

Swansea take on Arsenal in what will be the fourth competitive game between these sides this season. These two have won one each and the other ending drawn. It should be a game that is pleasing on the eye for the neutral but it is hard to find a bet that appeals. The match odds have the Gunners 13/10 (general) while the draw is 28/11 (Pinnacle) and a Swansea victory is 12/5 (general).

The teatime kick-off sees Man United take on Reading who sacked their manager Brian McDermott in midweek. United are 2/11 (BetVictor/William Hill) to win a game in which even allowing for the new manager bounce they should coast to victory in. If you had to have a bet on this game then look at Jonny Evans to score anytime depending on the team selection. If the Northern Irishman starts then 41/4 (You Win) looks a big price as no side has scored more headed goals and goals from corners this season than the Red Devils.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: West Brom to beat Stoke, draw no bet market, 13/10 (betway)
SILVER: Man City to score over 1.5 goals v Everton, 6/5 (Stan James)
BRONZE: Loic Remy to score anytime v Aston Villa, 2/1 (sportingbet/Stan James/BWin)
