Burnley will travel to West Ham United`s Boleyn Ground this afternoon looking to move off the foot of the table. The Lancashire club are just one point off 19th placed Queens Park Rangers, Chris Ramsey`s men being usurped if the Clarets successfully overturn the Hammers. This is where the good news ends for Sean Dyche`s men, even a victory not being good enough to pull his side out of the relegation zone. Burnley are a full four points from 18th placed Sunderland and five from Leicester who occupy the last safe spot.

Conversely, West Ham are concerned with neither the European places nor the drop zone, they having surpassed the magical 40 point marker. Sam Allardyce`s side sit in 11th position in the Premier League but could rise to as high as ninth should they get the better of Burnley at home. Otherwise, the club could be superseded by their fellow Londoners Crystal Palace, that`s if they fail to pick up even a point this afternoon.

The two clubs last met in October in the reverse top tier fixture at Burnley`s Turf Moor. West Ham managed to secure victory despite their away disadvantage, the Hammers bagging three goals to Burnley`s one. Despite the high quantity of goals, the first half ended goalless though the deadlock was broken just four minutes into the second 45 thanks to Diafra Sakho. Enner Valencia doubled the Hammers` advantage 10 minutes later before George Boyd`s effort saw the deficit halved. Carlton Cole grabbed the final goal of the match to put the game out of Burnley`s reach and secure all three points for the Iron.

Betvictor have the best price of 21/1 on this afternoon`s clash ending 3-1 to West Ham. Alternatively, Betbright`s 27/5 says that exactly four goals will be scored during the 90 minutes. Whilst it is 6/1 (Coral) on Sakho providing the opener once again, 7/1 is the price on Cole hitting the last goal of the match-up.

Indeed the East London club`s home advantage and superior league position means that it is they who are the favourites to take all three points from the encounter, thereby doing the double over Dyche`s side. The Iron can be backed at 5/4 at a number of bookies to seal the points by any means. Supporters of the underdog can get 13/5 (Coral) on an away victory whilst a draw is up for grabs at 5/2 (bet365, betfred).

West Ham will be looking to seal their first win in four games, Allardyce`s men having failed to score in their last two. As a result, Spreadex have the best price of 3/1 on Burnley keeping a clean sheet whilst 5/1 says that the visitors can win to nil.

Similarly, this afternoon`s hosts have not hit the back of the net more than once in any of their last five matches. Consequentially, most bookmakers have 8/13 on the Iron hitting under 1.5 goals against Burnley.

Burnley have not recorded a Premier League victory since their surprise 1-0 win over reigning Premier League champions Manchester City back in March. That`s five matches without a win. Like West Ham, Burnley are also going through a profligate period, having failed to hit the back of the net in any of their last five games. Could it be that this afternoon`s clash ends goalless? Such an outcome can be found at the best price of 9/1 at most online bookies.

Danny Ings is the favourite to score for the visitors this afternoon. The Turf Moor outfit`s star striker is up for grabs at 13/5 (Stan James) to add to his tally at any time.
