Premier League

Picking up a win and two draws from four games in November still counts as a relatively successful period for Swansea, especially when their only win of the month came against Champions League hopefuls Arsenal. The Swans have, however, slid from sixth to eighth position in the Premier League.

Tonight (2nd December, 19:45), Garry Monk`s man face Queens Park Rangers, a team fresh from the 3-2 victory over Leicester City that saw them put an end to their three consecutive games without a win. Harry Redknapp`s men sit in 18th place in the table and will move clear of the drop zone with a win in Wales.

Having only lost once at home in the first four months of the season, Swansea are the clear 3/4 (Numerous) favourites for this Tuesday night clash. The Whites will also be helped by only having one injury worry in defender Federico Fernandez. The recovery of winger Jefferson Montero means that Monk can make his selection with no fresh line-up concerns.

His side travelled to Everton at the start of the month and did well in keeping a clean sheet against the notoriously high scorers. The Swans did, however, fail to beat Tim Howard between the Toffees` sticks and had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

A week later, Monk masterminded the side`s win over the Gunners at the Liberty Stadium. The match was goalless for over 63 minutes before Alexis Sanchez netted to give the visitors the lead. Whilst such a disappointment would have derailed many other teams, it took just over 10 minutes for Gylfi Sigurdsson to equalise and Bafetimbi Gomis to head home the winner.

An ninth minute Wilfried Bony chance put the Swans 1-0 up against Premier League champions Manchester City, though they buckled under pressure and conceded one in either half to see the match slip through their fingers, 2-1.

Bony again put his team 1-0 up early on against Crystal Palace last time out. Unfortunately for the home side, Mile Jedinak was able to convert a penalty given away by Jonjo Shelvey to level up halfway through the first 45. The game remained 1-1.

In-form goal scorer Bony is the 4/1 (Numerous) favourite to break the deadlock in tonight`s clash. The Ivory Coast star has already scored six and is also available at 13/2 (unibet, william hill) to hit his second brace of the campaign against the R`s.

Redknapp`s Rangers secured an unlikely point from their dual games against title challengers at the start of the month. The London club lost 2-1 against the unbeaten Chelsea prior to snatching a point in a 2-2 draw at Manchester City.

Charlie Austin scored the side`s only goal against Chelsea and their opener at home to City. Their second was recorded thanks to Martin Demichelis hitting past Joe Hart in his own goal.

Nobody could find their way past high-flying Newcastle as QPR fell to a 1-0 defeat away from home in their third match of the month whilst Austin, Leroy Fer and a Wes Morgan own goal saw the Londoners steal all three points from Leicester.

Their own hot-shot striker, former Burnley man Austin is 12/5 with Betbright to continue his high scoring form tonight at any time.

A number of bookmakers are offering the generous price of 9/2 on the away club returning home from Wales with three points. Both betfair and boylesports have priced up the draw at 29/10.

Much like his opposite number, Harry Redknapp is expected to have many more faces to pick from tonight thanks to the returns of Bobby Zamora (back) and Yun Suk-Young from injury. The Hoops will also have experienced centre-back Richard Dunne available after serving his suspension for picking up five yellow cards.
