MAN CITY v SOUTHAMPTON, Saturday 5th April, 12:45, BT SPORT 1

It should be a cracker at the Etihad on Saturday in the live lunchtime game as a Man City side who have scored 48 goals in their 14 home Premier League matches this season take on a Southampton side who last three matches have produced a total of 15 goals.

The home team are 10/29 (888 SPORT/unibet) for a game they need to win if they are to keep the pressure on Liverpool at the top of the Premier League. City will hope to continue home form that has seen them lose just one home game all season in the Premier League.

Southampton might appeal to some at 9/1 (GENERAL) and 19/4 (bet365/BETVICTOR) the draw as they are playing well and also are unbeaten in their last two meetings with the Citizens. That being said away from the top six Southampton have not shown too much losing at Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Everton although they did manage a victory at Liverpool.

The best bet in this game is to take Jay Rodriguez to get among the goals as this player is in great form and will fancy his chances against a City defence that has kept a clean sheet in just three of their last nine at home in all competitions. The Saints man has five in his last four.

RECOMMENDATION: Jay Rodriguez to score first v Man City, 14/1 (BWIN)
Jay Rodriguez to score anytime v Man City, 7/2 (BWIN)

ASTON VILLA v FULHAM, Saturday 5th April. 15:00

Victory for Aston Villa here will all but confirm their place in the Premier League next season while defeat for Fulham will all but confirm their relegation to the Championship.

I can not be backing Villa at 21/20 (bet365/paddy Power/STAN JAMES) for victory as they have won just three home games all season against sides outside of the top four in the table. The Midlands side also come here on the back of two straight 4-1 defeats and have just lost star striker Christian Benteke for the rest of the season.

Fulham do not interest me though as they have just one win in their last 15 away games and have not recorded a victory in their last 14 visits to Villa Park. If you disagree and think the London side can get something then you can back them at 31/10 (BETVICTOR). The recommended bet is the YES in the both teams to score market as this would have paid in six of the last eight Fulham games and eight of the last 12 Villa games.

RECOMMENDATION: Both teams to score, 7/10 (betway/BWIN)

CARDIFF v CRYSTAL PALACE, Saturday 5th April, 15:00

Another vital relegation takes place at the Cardiff City Stadium as Cardiff take on Crystal Palace in a battle between the sides in 18th and 16th place.

The Bluebirds are 29/20 (bet365/BETVICTOR/william hill) for all three points as they have two wins, one draw and just one defeat from their last four games against sides in the bottom half of the table. Their opponents Palace have won none of their last six away games, losing four of these. That being said they had a huge win over Chelsea last week and can be backed at 23/10 (BETVICTOR) for victory. This looks a tough game to call from a match point of view so instead look to another market.

Try a little interest on a goal to be scored between the 76-90 minute of the game as the last three Cardiff games have seen five goals scored in the last five minutes of the match.

RECOMMENDATION: Goal between 76th and 90th minute, 11/10 (ladbrokes)
