Man City take on Sunderland at the Etihad in the Saturday lunchtime game. City have a great record at home winning 29 of their last 32 Premier League home games and they will have their supporters at 2/7 (general). I think this price is a little bit short as Sunderland are a tough side to break down with a goalscorer in form in Steven Fletcher. The Black Cats actually have a good record against City and they gained a point here last season. I like Sunderland at +1.5 on the Asian line. This bet will pay out as long as Sunderland don’t lose by two or more goals. City have won just one of their last 11 by two or more goals while the Black Cats have lost none of their last 15 by this margin.

On to the three o’clock kick-offs and Chelsea should have no problems seeing off Norwich though you would not get rich backing them at 1/4 (general). The Canaries got a hammering off Liverpool last weekend and are unlikely to trouble the Londoners. You can get just under evens with Chelsea -1.75 on the Asian Handicap and that looks the way to play. This mean you get a full win if Chelsea win by three or more, a half win if they win by two and anything else will be a loss.

Things have started to come unstuck a little for Swansea in recent weeks and this game takes on a new importance. Some people might be attracted by the Swans at evens (general) bearing in mind their strong home form I would offer two words of caution though. Firstly Swansea have lost their last three league games without scoring a goal in addition this game is a repeat of the 2011 play-off final where Swansea emerged victorious, except Reading to be hungry for revenge. The Swans defence has been leaking a lot and I think this might be an open high-scoring affair and I would advise taking the 9/10 (Stan James) on both teams to score.

West Brom are 10/11 (general) to beat a QPR side who have taken just three points from their last 16 away games in the Premier League. I could not be taking the 62/17 (pinnacle) on the away win and I could put nobody off backing the Baggies here. I would recommend the 11/10 (ladbrokes/william hill) on West Brom in the race to two goals market with the away side having conceded this amount or more in nine of their last 11 league away games.

The best bet on Saturday is the 11/10 (Blue Sq/Stan James/888 Sport) are offering on Everton to beat Wigan. Wigan have won just one of their last 13 meetings with the Toffees and the form that both sides are in means all signs point to an away win.

The action on Saturday concludes with the live game between West Ham and Arsenal. The Hammers have shocked many (myself included) with how well they have adapted to the Premier League. It is 16/5 (ladbrokes) a home victory, 51/19 (pinnacle) the draw and a Gunners victory is 68/67 (Pinnacle). This should be a good game to watch and I can see goals. The 10/3 (william hill) are offering on Andy Carroll to score at anytime is great value as he is expected to lead the line for the Hammers after coming off the bench against QPR on Monday. The striker can also be had at 9/1 (Stan James/188Bet/Coral) to grab the opener.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Everton to beat Wigan 11/10 (Blue Sq/Stan James/888 Sport)
SILVER: Sunderland on the Asian Handicap +1.5, 10/9 (Pinnacle)
BRONZE: Andy Carroll to score anytime v Arsenal 10/3 (william hill)
