Burnley are in a position to capitalise on yesterday`s results and pull themselves out of the relegation zone - that`s if they can manage to secure a win against Europa League seeking Tottenham. The Turf Moor outfit, who host this morning`s clash, sit in 19th position in the Premier League following yesterday`s encounters. They are one point behind Sunderland who occupy the last safe spot. A win would see them usurp the Wearside club. A victory by a two or more goal margin would also see them supersede Aston Villa. Earning themselves a point against Tottenham would see Sean Dyche`s men level on points with the Black Cats but still locked in the bottom three.

Spurs` claims for a Europa League place have strengthened following the defeats to both Liverpool and Southampton yesterday. Today`s visitors sit just one point behind the Anfield side and would move into fifth place with a victory over Burnley. A draw with the Lancashire club would see Tottenham usurp sixth place Southampton and find themselves level on points with Liverpool without dislodging them.

The two sides have met a mammoth three times already this season following the reverse fixture being played out at White Hart Lane and an FA Cup encounter, that ended up being fought out over two legs, being hosts by either club. Three goals were scored in the first half of the White Hart Lane Premier League tie to see the home side run out the 2-1 winners.

Harry Kane put the Whites in front just after the 20 minute mark though that lead lasted just six minutes as Ashley Barnes put Burnley level. Parity was restored for a mere 10 minutes as Erik Lamela saw Mauricio Pochettino`s men go back in front before the half time whistle. There were no goals in the second 45 so the score remained 2-1.

A correct score prediction of 2-1 to Spurs will see you claim returns at a price of 17/2 at both bet365 and Betvictor. England international Kane is a 5/1 shot with ladbrokes to break the deadlock once again whilst 23/10 (betfair, william hill) is the price on the first 45 being the highest scoring half.

The score was 1-1 as Burnley hosted Tottenham in their FA Cup third round clash just weeks later. In this game, the match was goalless at half time before a goal for each club in the second half saw the tie have to be replayed to decide the winner. Nacer Chadli put the North London side in front just 10 minutes after the restart before Sam Vokes levelled up for Burnley.

Back a 1-1 draw at the best price of 13/2, that price being available at a number of bookies. Again, 5/1 with a number of bookmakers says that the two teams will be tied at both half time and full time. Chadli can be picked up at 19/2 (32red, 888sport, unibet) to provide the game with its first goal once again.

Spurs had to come back from being 2-0 behind to take the replay at White Hart Lane just days later. Marvin Sordell and Ross Wallace put the Turf Moor club in front, both goals coming within the first 10 minutes of the first half. Paulinho halved the deficit minutes later before Etienne Capoue levelled up on the stroke of half time.

Both Vlad Chiriches and Danny Rose added to Tottenham`s tally just minutes into the second 45 to see them run out the eventual 4-2 winners and see their progression through to the fourth round.

Betvictor have a massive 55/1 on Spurs winning by four goals to two once again whilst both bet365 and ladbrokes have 16/1 on exactly six goals being scored in the match. ladbrokes have 2/3 on both teams scoring.
