Both teams to score in yet another Citizens game

Premier League

Manchester City is leaking goals left, right and centre so back both teams to score in Saturday`s Etihad Stadium match between the English Premier League champion and the side that almost denied it the title last season, Sunderland.

The Citizens have not kept a clean sheet in any of their 10 competitive games this term, conceding 16 goals if one does not count the two that Aston Villa scored in extra time of its 4-2 English Capital One Cup victory in Manchester.

Roberto Mancini is doing a good impression of former Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri, tinkering with Manchester City`s back four because he does not seem to know whom to play alongside Vincent Kompany. Joleon Lescott is the best option available to Mancini but, for some reason, he seems reluctant to play the former Everton defender who was so steady last season.

The Citizens required a man-of-the-match performance from Joe Hart, their England international goalkeeper, not to lose at home to Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday. The Black Cats are not in the same class as the Germans but, if Mancini does not get his tactics right, they have the players to cause his team problems. Ex-City winger Adam Johnson springs to mind.

Incredibly, both sides have scored in all 10 of Manchester City`s competitive games this term and Sunderland has hit the back of the net in all bar one of its seven matches so snap up odds of around 7-5 about both the Citizens and the Black Cats getting on the scoresheet. Also, have a think about backing Stephen Fletcher to score at around 4-1.

Sunderland, one may recall, was the only team not to lose its English Premier League away game versus Manchester City last season. The Black Cats drew 3-3 in a marvellous match.

Arsenal is the only side to have stopped Sunderland scoring this term and it is well worth supporting at around evens for its English Premier League derby versus West Ham.

The Hammers are seventh, one position and two points ahead of the Gunners, but they have benefited from a very soft start to life back in the English elite and the visit of Arsene Wenger`s team represents a huge step up in class.

Arsenal has won four and drawn the other three of its last seven road games. When one is reviewing the 2012-2013 English Premier League season, odds of evens about the Gunners beating West Ham at the Boleyn Ground may end up looking like one of the best bets of the entire campaign.

Make no mistake; Norwich is a club heading out of the English top flight unless it turns the corner under Chris Hughton soon. One has to fear for the Canaries as they travel to Stamford Bridge on Saturday having lost 2-5 at home to Liverpool on their last Premier League outing.

Chelsea is short odds to beat Norwich and take its English Premier League haul to 19 points out of a possible 21. A home win to nil is odds against at around 11-10 in some places and that looks like money for old rope.

It is anyone`s guess as to what the Stamford Bridge correct score will end up - Norwich could frustrate the Blues or capitulate to them - but something to nil is more likely than not so do not be greedy. Just take the 11-10.
