Man United are among ten Premier League teams in action Saturday afternoon as they face Sunderland. The Red Devils will go into the game full of confidence after victory over Man City last weekend and against a Sunderland side they are unbeaten in their last 20 meetings with. It is 2/9 (general) that United register their fifth consecutive league victory. Sunderland were boosted by a victory over Reading in midweek however the opposition on that day were awful and they should not be getting carried away with the result. It is 137/21 (pinnacle) the draw while a Sunderland victory is 16/1 (general). I can not see past United however I think bookmakers have got the markets correct and will not be betting on this game.

Slowly but surely Paul Lambert appears to be getting things right at Aston Villa and they had an impressive win at Norwich in midweek in the League Cup. A trip to Anfield does not hold the fear for opposition that it once did and I think the best way to play this is on the Asian Handicap which gives Villa a +1.25 start with pinnacle/BetVictor at a price of 45/40 . This would pay a full win if Villa win or draw, and a half win if they lose by just one. Liverpool have won by two or more in just three of their last 17 Premier League home games.

Norwich are now on the longest unbeaten run in the Premier League as they made it nine games without defeat when seeing off Swansea 4-3 last weekend in Wales. To make it ten they must see off Wigan at Carrow Road. The Canaries are the 5/4 (boylesports/BetVictor/william hill) favourites for the game which might appeal to some as they have won their last four home games in the league conceding just once in these games and seeing off Man Utd, Arsenal, Stoke and Sunderland. The draw is a best priced 38/15 (pinnacle) which has been the result of three of the four previous meetings between these sides and the Wigan away is a best priced 29/11 (Pinnacle). Wigan tend to concede a lot of goals from set-pieces and the Canaries are the kings of them. Try Sebastien Bassong to continue his scoring exploits at 33/1 (paddy Power/BWin) to score first or 12/1 (paddy Power/BWin). Be sure to also consider Michael Turner in the same market should he get the nod to replace Russell Martin at centre-back.

Every week I say that QPR must win this game and they do not but this time they really must. They are now eight points from safety and a home game with poor travellers Fulham must represent their best chance of glory. Fulham though are picking up a little on the road having drawn four of their last five games away from home and the draw is 53/21 (Pinnacle). QPR for their part have drawn their last three games. Victory for the home side is a best priced 29/20 (BetVictor) while a Fulham win is priced at 41/19 (Pinnacle). I would not be shocked to see Harry Redknapp get his first three points as boss here however it is not a game I wish to be getting involved with.

The bet of the weekend is Stoke who can be had at 6/5 (paddy power) in the draw no bet market at home to Everton. The Potters have made a living on winning games like this at home and with the draw no bet addition you have to go back to February 4th for the last time they did not collect at least a point in a home Premier League game. Everton for their part have not won any of their last five away in the league and just three of their last eighteen.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Stoke to beat Everton in draw no bet market, 6/5 (paddy power)
SILVER: Aston Villa with +1.25 on Asian Handicap, 45/40 (BetVictor/pinnacle)
BRONZE: Sebastien Bassong to score v Wigan, first 33/1 (Paddy Power/BWin), anytime 12/1 (Paddy Power/BWin).
