After a couple of weeks off domestic action returned in Spain on Friday night as Real Betis won 2-1 at Real Zaragoza. Here is our preview of all the action on Sunday.

The top three (Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid) are all playing Sunday in a good day of La Liga action . The first game of the day though sees Celta Vigo take on Real Valladolid . Celta are struggling at the wrong end of the table while Valladolid are in mid-table. Celta are the 20/21 (general) favourites though I could not be backing a side at that price who have lost each of their last three league games. The bet here is to take the NO in the both teams to score market at 37/40 (BetVictor). Valladolid have failed to find the net in two of their last three away games while Celta Vigo have failed to score in each of their last three games.

Sixteen points behind Barcelona Real Madrid know that they have no chance of winning the title though they will still be desperate to get ahead of Atletico and finish second. Opponents this Sunday are Real Sociedad who had a good start to the season and sit in seventh. Madrid are 1/5 (general) for victory though I would not be rushing to back them at that price. I like the look of both teams to score in this game which would have paid in each of the last five Madrid games. Sociedad have netted nine times in their last four away games and look capable of finding the net here. Take the 4/5 (BetVictor/Blue Sq/888 Sport) on offer.

Seventeen games, fourty nine points, fifty seven scored, seventeen conceded, the season so far has been a dream for Barcelona and with the news that Tito Vilanova will be back on the bench this weekend many will expect Barca to coast to victory here. A word of caution though Espanyol will not be be the pushovers that many think they will be. They have picked up under new coach Javier Aguirre who has led them to three draws and a win from four games. I think the best way to play this game is in the under 3.5 goals which is available at 24/19 with pinnacle. Of the last 11 meetings between these sides in the league nine of them have featured under 3.5 goals. Espanyol will come and try keep things tight and aim to frustrate the Catalan side. The visitors kept Real Madrid down to two goals in a recent meeting and could be stubborn opponents here.

The first half of the season was impressive for Atletico Madrid who find themselves some seven points ahead of Real Madrid in second place. They will hope to pick up where they left off when they take on Real Mallorca in the late game on Sunday. Mallorca are struggling this season sitting in 16th just one point above relegation. Bookmakers make Atletico the 11/9 (pinnacle) favourites to win the game while the draw is 5/2 (Stan James/Coral) and the Mallorca victory is a best priced 13/5 (general). The bet in this game could be Turan at 11/1 (bet365) to score first or 15/4 (bet365) in the anytime scorer market. The player is as short as 6/1 with one bookmaker in the first scorer market. The Turkish winger has scored 4 goals in 16 starts and occupys an attacking wide slot for Atletico and looks the value bet.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Both teams to score Real Madrid v Real Valladolid, 4/5 (BetVictor/Blue Sq/888 Sport)
SILVER: Under 3.5 goals in Barcelona v Espanyol, 24/19 (pinnacle)
BRONZE: Turan to score v Mallorca, First (11/1-bet365), Anytime (15/4-bet365)
