In the third and final part of our guide to the Championship season we look at the specials markets that are available with bet365 (including topscorer) and offer our best bets.

TOPSCORER

You can not ignore the claims of the top two in the betting to be Championship Topscorer, Jordan Rhodes (6/1) and Ross McCormack (8/1) who both finished in the top two in this market last season. Both are likely to start every game and be the focal point of attacks in promotion chasing sides. For me though this market is a risk because of injuries and transfers so I prefer to have an interest at some players with bigger prices.

Chris O’Grady at 40/1 appeals as this is a player who grabbed 15 goals last season in a struggling Barnsley side. This time around he is in a much better Brighton team and will be the focal point of the attack following the summer sale of Ulloa to Leicester.

The second selection is Yann Kergomant who grabbed 14 last season in a spell that started at Charlton and ended at Bournemouth. The Cherries have a real talent on their hands and the Frenchman got nine in the last 12 games and is great value at 50/1.

At even bigger prices I like the look of Albert Adomah at 100/1. The Middlesbrough winger is given licence to get forward by his club and grabbed 12 last season and the presence of new Spanish forward Kike will ease the burden on him at the front.

RECOMMENDATION: Chris O’Grady top scorer, each-way, 40/1, bet365
Yann Kergomant top scorer, each-way, 50/1, bet365
Albert Adomah top scorer, each-way, 100/1, bet365

SEASON MATCH BET

If your read our outright piece you will know that I am high on the chances of Blackburn to go well therefore I think they look excellent value at 4/5 to see off Bolton in a season match bet. Rovers finished some 11 points ahead of the Trotters last season and I see little in the transfer activity of both sides that makes me think that the gap will be closed. I would add this to Derby to beat Nottingham Forest at 4/6 to make this a double. These East Midlands rivals were seperated by some 20 points last season and the Rams look banker material.

Another one that looks worth a little interest is Bournemouth to finish ahead of Brighton at 11/10. The Cherries finished just six points behind them last season and will be looking to push on under Eddie Howe while the Seagulls look to rebuild under Sami Hyppia.

RECOMMENDATION: Derby to finish above Forest and Blackburn over Bolton, double
Bournemouth to finish above Brighton, 11/10, BET365

REGIONAL MARKETS

Derby finished some 20 points above Forest last season, some 41 above Birmingham and were not even in the same league as Wolves yet are a remarkable 5/4 with BET365 to finish as the top Midlands club which looks a great bit of business. The Rams have made some good moves in the transfer window and most crucially have kept their key players at the club.

In addition I like the look of Huddersfield to finish as top Yorkshire side at 7/2. The Terriers have made some good additions this summer and should go forward while the sides (Wednesday and Leeds) who finished just above them last season will likely go backwards. Ownership issues have affected player purchases for the Owls while Leeds have an unproven manager and a worrying owner. If you wanted to be conservative you could also get Rotherham onside at 4/1 as Steve Evans has done a good job in the transfer market.

RECOMMENDATION: Derby top Midlands side, 5/4, BET365
Huddersfield top Yorkshire side, 7/2, BET365
