Premier League preview and odds: Swansea City vs Chelsea

September 11 , 2016 16:00pm - Liberty Stadium

Premier League

Chelsea will seek to maintain their winning streak when they make the trip west to face a Swansea side who have lost their last two Premier League matches in a row.

Three wins out of three for resilient Chelsea

Chelsea are still adapting to life under new coach Antonio Conte but have managed to grind out positive results and are already starting to look like title contenders.

The Blues seem to have put last season`s inexplicable fall from grace behind them and have got off to the perfect start bagging a maximum nine points from their first three games.

While their performances may not have been entirely convincing, they have improved with each game and could be a real force to be reckoned with once they fully hit their stride. The passionate approach of their Italian coach has already rubbed off on the players who have shown a fighting spirit that was non-existent at times last term.

That spirit was on display in narrow wins over West Ham United and Watford, while the 3-0 romp at home to Burnley signalled a tactical plan starting to come together.

Swansea City also have an Italian coach at the helm and this could create an interesting tactical battle on Sunday. Francesco Guidolin earned a lot of credit for salvaging the Swans` season following his arrival at the start of the year, and his side got off to the perfect start this time round with a 1-0 win away to Burnley. Since then, they have slumped to defeats at home to Hull City (0-2) and away to Leicester City (2-1).

Team news

The home side have no significant injury worries ahead of this game.

Meanwhile, the visitors will have to make do without Marco Van Ginkel and Kurt Zouma.

Betting odds and tips

The Italian connection will make this game a must watch from a tactical point of view but there are unlikely to be any surprises. Chelsea are building some serious momentum and are looking strong under Conte. Meanwhile, Swansea have looked out of sorts in the last two games and are likely to be overwhelmed once again on Sunday. As a result, the away offers good value at 4/6.

Back the away win at 4/6 with Bet365.
