New England Patriots and the Houston Texans are the current 6/1 (You Win) favourites for the SuperBowl. The Texans had a bye this week while the Patriots played at Wembley where they destroyed the Rams 45-7. Tom Brady once more showed that he is the king of the quarterbacks throwing for over 300 yards and completing four touchdown passes. The win moved New England to 5-3 and top of the AFC East. The undefeated Atlanta Falcons (as tipped here) saw off the Philadelphia Eagles 30-17 to go 7-0 and remain the only unbeaten team in the NFL this season. The Falcons are now 8/1 (You Win-note You Win do not pay EW) to lift the trophy or 4/1 (You Win) to win the NFC. Their nearest rivals in the NFC are expected to be the San Francisco 49ers and we will have a preview of their key divisional battle with the Arizona Cardinals at the end of this piece.

Green Bay are 8/1 (You Win) after a routine 25-14 victory over the Jaguars while the New York Giants moved to 9/1 after a victory over the Dallas Cowboys. Denver Broncos have moved into 10/1 (general) after an impressive victory over the New Orleans Saints which moved them to 4-3 and top of the AFC West. Other teams expected to go well are the Chicago Bears who are 14/1 (ladbrokes/32 Red), the Baltimore Ravens 19/1 (32 Red) and the Pittsburgh Steelers 25/1 (You Win)

The Monday night game sees the 49ers at the Cardinals. San Francisco are the 4/11 (Skybet) favourites for the game. Arizona though did win the last time the 49ers visited them and are 27/10 (ladbrokes) for victory here. Those wishing to get involved in the point spread will find that the margin of victory has been set at seven. With both these teams ranking in the top five of the defensive end of the passing yards allowed category and in the top seven of the points allowed expect a low scoring gritty encounter. Bookmakers have set the total points line at 38.5 and it might pay to go under this. Just one of the seven games Arizona have played this season have gone over 38.5 points and that game went to overtime. This should be a smilar battle to the one between the Seahawks and 49ers so take the 20/21 (ladbrokes/pinnacle) on this game having under 38.5 points. Also in a game featuring two teams with strong passing defences look to the run offence and the 49ers have an elite player to do this with in Frank Gore. Gore is 4/6 (paddy Power/ladbrokes) to score at anytime, 7/4 (Skybet) to grab two or more touchdowns or 8/1 (Skybet) for the hat-trick. Gore has 11 touchdowns in 11 career games against the Cardinals. Another bet I like the look of is Frank Gore total rushing yards. The line is currently set at 85.5 with BlueSq and 888sport. Gore ran for 131 yards against a Seahawks defence that I would rank as tougher than this Cardinals one. Look for Gore to go well here again. One final better is to take the Cardinals to score under 15.5 points. Arizona has grabbed just 33 points in their last three games and the 49ers have held three of their last four opponents under this margin including holding the Jets scoreless and the Bills to just three. The best line to take this with is BetVictor who go 10/11 that the Cardinals score under 16 points.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Frank Gore to rush for over 85.5 yards, 5/6 (BlueSq/888sport)
SILVER: Cardinals to score under 15.5 points, 10/11 (BetVictor)
BRONZE: Total points in game under 38.5 points, 20/21 (ladbrokes/pinnacle)
