After slow starts both Zenit and Anderlecht will be desperate for three points when they do battle in the early kick-off on Wednesday. Zenit have lost both of their games in the Champions League this season though bookmakers think they look good things for all three points and have them at 1/2 (general). Anderlecht have won just two of their last 29 Champions League away matches though if you think they can get a point here it is 7/2 (pinnacle) while victory for the Belgian side is a best priced 93/13 (pinnacle). The best bet here could be in taking Roman Shirokov to score at anytime which is 13/5 (paddy Power). Shirokov has scored six goals in his last nine Champions League appearances. Also in this group Malaga take on Milan with the Spanish side the 11/10 (general) favourites. This looks a decent price on a side lying third in their domestic league up against a Milan side that is a pale shadow of their former selves. The Italians are 15th in their domestic league and have won just three games all season. History is not on the side of Milan here as they have won just one of their last 11 Champions League games against Spanish opponents.

After a disappointing start in Europe Man City know they must take all three points from Ajax. Bookmakers make them 3/4(paddy Power/william hill) for victory which would be their first ever away from home in the Champions League. Both teams to score would have paid in five of the last six Man City games and in four of the last five Ajax ones and it is 14/19 (32 Red) that both teams score here.

Real Madrid take on Borussia Dortmund and I am amazed to see a side the class of Madrid better than evens. 188 Bet and pinnacle are offering 7/6 on the Spanish side and this looks a must bet. Madrid have won five of their last six (the other was a draw with Barcelona). The German side have not won any of their last seven against Spanish opposition including two defeats and two draws with Real.

Arsenal will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing defeat to Norwich in the Premier League at the weekend and they are 11/10 (BetVictor) to see off Schalke. Schalke are no mugs though and sit in third place in Germany and saw off Dortmund this weekend. Both sides have scored in six of the last eight Schalke games and in seven of the last eight Arsenal games. Take both teams to score here at 4/6 (BlueSq/888 Sport). Montpellier are 11/10 (bet365/BetVictor) to see off Olympiakos in their gameday three meeting. Take a chance on Jose Holebas to score in this game. The defender has netted in his last two and is 28/1 (ladbrokes) to grab the opener or 10/1 (ladbrokes) to score at anytime.

Porto have made it two wins from two games and are 8/13 (paddy power) to see off Dynamo Kiev. Those wishing to boost the price might want to consider backing Porto to win to nil which is available at 6/4. The Portuguese side have kept a clean sheet in an astonishing eight of ten games this season. PSG will have been disappointed that they lost in Porto last time out however take them to get something from Dinamo Zagreb. It is 3/5 (BetVictor) a PSG win though you can boost this by taking PSG to win and Zlatan Ibrahimovic to score anytime double which is available at 7/5 (boylesports). The Swede has scored a remarkable 17 goals in his last 17 games in all competitions.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Real Madrid to beat Dortmund, 7/6 (188 Bet/pinnacle)
SILVER: Both teams to score in Arsenal v Schalke, 4/6 (BlueSq/888sport)
BRONZE: Jose Holebas to score anytime v Montpellier, 10/1 (ladbrokes)
