After a bad spell in the league Tottenham will be looking to bounce back in the Europa League where AVB and his men take on Lazio in Rome. Lazio are currently fifth in Serie A while Tottenham are eighth in England. In terms of Group J placings it is the Italian side who top the group with eight points while Tottenham are in second with six points. These two sides have met already drawing 0-0 at White Hart Lane in the opening group game and it is 12/5 (Totesport/betfred) another draw here. It looks a difficult task for the English side as Lazio have lost just one of nine at home in all competitions this season. Bookmakers make a Lazio win 29/20 (BetVictor/pinnacle) and a Tottenham victory is 9/4 (paddy Power).

Libor Kozak and Sergio Floccari started the last Europa League tie and if the pair start again here could be value at 7/1 (general) to score the opener though as ever with the Europa League keep an eye on team news. If you think a Spurs player will score first you can get Emmanuel Adebayor and Jermain Defoe both at 7/1 (general). One bet that does not require you to wait for team news is taking YES in the both teams to score market at 10/11 (Coral). This would have paid in nine of the last 11 Tottenham games in all competitions.

The Young Boys of Liverpool take on the Young Boys of Berne in a repeat of the great 5-3 game last time out that saw Liverpool victorious in Switzerland. The Reds now have home advantage and are the 5/11 (BWin/188 Bet) favourites for the game with the draw priced at 71/19 (pinnacle) and the away win 139/18 (pinnacle). Bookmakers seem to think that last game is an indicator that goals might occur which means it pays to try and oppose this opinion. Under 2.5 goals would have paid in four of the last six Liverpool home games in all competitions and in five of the last seven Liverpool home games in the Europa League. Take the 5/4 ladbrokes are offering on this game to have under 2.5 goals.

Two wins and two draws from four games sees Newcastle in a healthy position in the Europa League and they are at home to Maritimo. Recent Europa League home form has been good with the Magpies winning each of their last eight home games in all competitions including the two this season and it is 4/9 (general) a win here against the Portuguese side. Maritimo are not having a great time of it in their domestic league sitting 12th of 16. Maritimo have lost both away games this campaign and are 8/1 (Skybet/Totesport/betfred) and 15/4 (Blue Sq/888 Sport). The bet here looks to be taking Maritimo at +1.25 on the Asian Handicap at 37/40 (BetVictor). Newcastle have won just one game this season by more than one goal and they seem to be struggling to create chances.

The best bet of the other games in the Europa League is in the game between Helsingborg and Levante. The Spanish side had a good win at Deportivo at the weekend and before that played well in a 2-1 defeat to Real Madrid. The Swedish meanwhile wrapped up their domestic league season at the start of November and will not be as match sharp. william hill are offering 5/4 on the Spanish side which seems very generous. Be sure to take advantage.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Levante to beat Helsingborg, 5/4 (william hill)
SILVER: Maritimo on the Asian Handicap +1.25 v Newcastle, 37/40 (BetVictor)
BRONZE: Under 2.5 goals Liverpool v Young Boys, 5/4 (ladbrokes)
