I can’t imagine anyone will be suing Sky under the trade descriptions act as this Sunday certainly looks set to live up to billing as ’Super Sunday.’ The first of two live Premier League games sees Everton play host to Liverpool in the Merseyside derby. It is Everton who have made the best start to the Premier League season losing just one of their eight games so far. It is the Toffees who are the marginal favourites with the bookmakers at 17/10 (BetVictor/william hill) while Liverpool are 19/10 (william hill/pinnacle) and the draw is a best priced 29/12 (pinnacle). Current home form would point to Everton with the Goodison side having won six and lost none of their last seven at home. Liverpool meanwhile have won just three of their last 14 away in the league with two of those coming at Carrow Road and the other at Ewood Park. Liverpool though have a good record in recent meetings between these two sides including victory in the last three. I like the look of the over 2.5 goals on the goal line in this match. This would have paid out in six of the last seven Everton home games and the last three Liverpool away games. The price on this is 11/10 (ladbrokes) which looks good value.

In between the first and second live game we have two non-live Sunday games featuring Europa League teams. The first game sees Newcastle at home to West Brom and the Magpies are 21/20 (BetVictor/william hill) to get all three points here. Newcastle have lost just two of their last 14 at home (both coming against the Manchester sides) and won nine of these. West Brom though are difficult opponents and are unbeaten on their last three visits to Newcastle. Shane Long has netted in two of the last three West Brom games and might be worth an interest at 17/2 (bet365) to grab the opener or 11/4 (general) to score at anytime against a Newcastle side who have kept just one clean sheet all season.

I think Tottenham look good things to see off Southampton at St Mary’s as they should have too much class for the home side. The Saints are an exciting side when going forward though at the back they are a mess. Spurs at 17/20 (BetVictor/paddy Power/William Hill) look good value. Tottenham have won four of their last five games in the Premier League with the only defeat coming from Chelsea last weekend. This should be a shoot-out as there has been an average of four goals per game at St Mary’s since the return of Southampton to the top flight and the over 3.5 goals is available at 19/13 (pinnacle).

This is all a build up to the main course which is the mouthwatering clash between Chelsea and Man Utd. Leaders Chelsea are 6/4 (boylesports/ladbrokes/William Hill) and have won ten of their last 13 at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League. United though will be confident themselves as they have not lost any of their last five against Chelsea in all competitions. It is 11/5 (Stan James) that the Red Devils get all three points here and the draw is a best priced 28/11 (Pinnacle). Robin Van Persie has scored five goals at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League and is 6/1 (general) to grab both goals. Rooney has scored five in his last six against Chelsea and he is 7/1 (Stan James/Coral) as is Fernando Torres 7/1 (general). David Luiz has scored in both appearances for Chelsea against United at Stamford Bridge and is 33/1 (general) to score first.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Tottenham to beat Southampton, 17/20 (BetVictor/paddy Power/William Hill)
SILVER: Over 2.5 goals between Everton v Liverpool, 11/10 (ladbrokes)
BRONZE: Shane Long to score first v Newcastle 17/2 (bet365), anytime 11/4 (general).
