With Tranmere and MK Dons playing Friday night the big game in League One is the one that sees second placed Sheffield United play host to third placed Stevenage. It will be interesting to see how the Blades bounce back after suffering their first defeat last weekend going down to a 90th minute penalty against the MK Dons. It is 10/11 (Coral/william hill) that they bounce back with victory though I might sit this one out. The Blades are a good team but so too are Stevenage. We need to see how they handle losing as this is not something they have had to deal with all season. Will they pick themselves up for another run or will this be something they struggle to deal with? Throw in the fact that they draw a lot and this 10/11 looks one to avoid putting in your accumulators.

On the other end of the scale one bet I am keen on this week is Bournemouth to beat Oldham at 8/11 (Blue Sq/888 Sport/william hill) which looks the bet of the weekend in the lower leagues. The Cherries have won six and drawn one in their last seven and I see no reason why this run will come to an end against an Oldham side with no win in their last four league games. It is not a bet that will get you rich though that does not mean it is not value. Also in League One Crewe have won four of their last five in all competitions and appeal at 5/4 (bet365/Stan James) in the draw no bet market to get something from a visit to Shrewsbury. Shrewsbury have no win in their last six games and Crewe have already won at the New Meadow this season in the Football League Trophy.

In League Two Barnet take on Accrington on Friday night with the other remaining teams playing Saturday. The form team in League Two is Cheltenham who have taken ten poins from their last four games and they are away to Rotherham this weekend. They must be worth taking at 3/1 (general) to get the victory or at 2/1 (Coral) in the draw no bet market. Rotherham got an absolute hammering at Dagenham and Redbridge last weekend (5-0) and have already lost at home to Southend, York and Rochdale this season. Cheltenham have proved themselves capable travellers and picked up a point at Gillingham already this season. Chesterfield are on a poor run of form with just two wins from their last ten league games and take on an Oxford side unbeaten in the last four meetings between these sides. I think Oxford look worth taking at 5/4 (ladbrokes) in the draw no bet market. Oxford have won three of their last five away from home and the two they did not came at high flyers Port Vale and Rochdale.

Into the Conference Premier and it is Newport who top the table and they are 8/13 (Coral/William Hill) to see off visitors Hyde this Saturday. The best bet looks like being Alfreton to get something from the side directly above them in the league table, Woking. Woking have won just one of their last five games at home while Alfreton have lost just two of their last 13 in all competitions. They do tend to draw a lot so look to cover with the draw no bet at 6/4 (Skybet/paddy Power).

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Bournemouth to beat Oldham, 8/11 (Blue Sq/888 Sport/William Hill)
SILVER: Cheltenham in draw no bet v Rotherham, 2/1 (Coral)
BRONZE: Crewe in draw no bet v Shrewsbury, 5/4 (bet365/Stan James)
