Tottenham assistant Steffen Freund has stoked the fire ahead of the North London derby this Saturday lunchtime by suggesting Tottenham may never have a better chance to finish ahead of their North London rivals (something they have not done since 1995). These two sides do battle this weekend and a win for Spurs would see them move four points clear of Arsenal.

Bookmakers make Arsenal the 20/21 (general) favourites for victory against Tottenham. The Gunners though have won just two of their last eight Premier League games against Spurs (drawing three and losing three). Those who think Tottenham can get something out of this game might also be interested to note that this fixture has more draws in Premier League history than any other (17). The draw is a best priced 54/19 (pinnacle) while a Tottenham win is 35/11 (pinnacle).

Olivier Giroud is slowly starting to find his feet after his summer move from Montepellier and has netted four goals in his last four games in England. The Frenchman is the 6/1 Skybet/paddy Power/ladbrokes) favourite to grab the opening goal in this game while teammate Lukas Podolski is a 7/1 (general) chance. Those who think a Tottenham player will get the first goal can get Jermain Defoe at 8/1 (general) the same price you can get Emmanuel Adebayor (general). Those looking for players with good scoring records in these games can get Theo Walcott (three including two in the last meeting) at 8/1 (ladbrokes) or Gareth Bale (also three) at 12/1 (BetVictor). One bet I like the look of in the goalscorer market is Steven Caulker who is a massive 45/1 (BetVictor) to score first and 14/1 (Skybet/Totesport/betfred) to score anytime. Caulker has grabbed a goal in each of his last two starts and with Arsenal vulnerable at the back he could take advantage here.

Goals are common when these two sides meet with the last four head-to-head meetings producing a grand total of 21 goals. Bookmakers though are aware of this with over 2.5 goals as short as 5/8 (32 Red), over 3.5 goals is 33/20 (sportingbet) and over 4.5 goals is 4/1 (sportingbet).

The evening game sees Norwich entertain Man Utd and no preview can be written without the customary use of that stat about United winning from behind. If you have not heard already The Red Devils have conceded first in as many as seven Premier League games this season and have gone to win five of these games, recovering 15 points from a losing position. It is 7/1 (ladbrokes) that Man Utd once again come from behind at Carrow Road and claim all three points. As expected United are very short favourites available at a best priced 6/13 (Pinnacle). Those who think Norwich can get something out of this game can get 4/1 (Pinnacle) the draw and 7/1 (Totesport/betfred) the Canaries victory. History is on the side of United with them having won on seven of their last eight visits to Carrow Road and in 12 of their last 14 league meetings with Norwich. The Canaries though are in a little bit of form of their own embarking on a five game unbeaten run in all competitions. Chris Hughton has made his side solid and difficult to breakdown. It might be worth taking Norwich at 15/16 (188 Bet) with +1.25 on the Asian Handicap. The bet pays a full win if Norwich win or draw and a half win if Norwich lose by just the one goal.

One last bet is in the anytime assist market with Robert Snodgrass being the main man in delivering the set-pieces for Norwich have a small wager on the 14/1 he grabs the first assist and 9/2 assists anytime. Both bets are with boylesports.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Norwich +1.75 on the Asian Handicap v Man Utd, 15/16 (188Bet).
SILVER: Steven Caulker to score v Arsenal, first 45/1 (BetVictor), anytime 14/1 (Skybet/Totesport/betfred)
BRONZE: Robert Snodgrass assist v Norwich, first 14/1, anytime 9/2 (both boylesports)
