Just one live Premier League game takes place this Sunday as Fulham take on Sunderland at Craven Cottage. Both these sides would have been expecting a comfortable season with maybe an outside chance of a push for the Europa League. It is Fulham though who have made the strong start sitting in ninth while Sunderland sit in 16th just two places above relegation.

Bookmakers make Fulham the 3/4 (paddy Power) favourites for the game. History in this fixture is kind to Fulham as Sunderland have not won on any of their last eight league visits to Craven Cottage (losing five of these). Fulham have also been in good form at home this season winning three, drawing one and losing one (with this loss coming against Man City). Sunderland menwhile have not won any of their last six in all competitions. The Black Cats were much improved against Everton last weekend and can count themselves unlucky to have not got a point never mind lose. It is 35/12 (pinnacle) if you think that this game will end in a draw which has been the result in four of the six Sunderland away games this season. the sunderland victory meanwhile is a best priced 62/13 (pinnacle). Dimitar Berbatov has been involved in eight Fulham goals (scoring five, assisting three) in just seven league appearances for Fulham since his move. The Bulgarian is the 5/1 (Coral) favourite to grab the first goal with Hugo Rodallega 13/2 (Skybet), Bryan Ruiz is 7/1 (ladbrokes) and so too is Mladen Petric (general). Those who think a Sunderland player will grab the opening goal will likely look no further than Steven Fletcher at 15/2 (188 Bet/Coral/william hill). Louis Saha, who once played for Fulham, has a good scoring record against Fulham netting six times and he is 19/2 (BWin) the opener.

The bet here is to take the 4/5 boylesports are offering on both teams to score. I know Sunderland score very few under Martin O’Neill however in the last game at Everton they showed a lot more attacking emphasis and Fulham are a very attacking side these days. Both sides have scored in six of the last seven Fulham games as the manager allows Berbatov and Ruiz the freedom to create and not have to worry about tracking back. In addition Riise is a very attacking full-back which allow the sunderland wingers a chance to break at speed.

The other live game on Sunday is from the Championship as Millwall take on Leeds. Millwall boss Kenny Jackett continues to be under appreciated for what he is doing on such a small budget. At the start of the season it looked like this could be the year when they dropped however they have turned it around going on an unbeaten run of nine games. It is no shock then to see the Lions as the evens (general) favourite. Leeds are at the opposite end of the form table with no win in their last six league matches (losing three). Three of the last four Leeds away games in the league have ended drawn though and you can get the draw at 23/8 (Pinnacle) while a Leeds win is 22/7 (Pinnacle).

The best bet here is to take Millwall to score over 1.5 goals which is available at evens with Stan James. The Lions have scored at least two goals in each of their last four home games and take on a Leeds side who let in six last week against Watford.

One final recommendation for Sunday is in the Conference Premier where Luton player Scott Rendell looks good value to score against Mansfield. Rendell has netted seven times in the last ten Luton games and is 15/2 (Blue Sq/888 Sport) to score first and 19/10 (BetVictor) to score anytime.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Both teams to score Fulham v Sunderland, 4/5 (boylesports)
SILVER: Millwall to score over 1.5 goals v Leeds, evens (Stan James)
BRONZE: Scott Rendell to score first v Mansfield, 15/2 (Blue Sq/888 Sport), anytime 19/10 (BetVictor)
