Premier League Live Games

The live Saturday lunchtime games see Man Utd play host to Arsenal in what looks a mouthwatering encounter. The Red Devils saw off Chelsea in the big game last weekend and moved to within one point at the top of the table. It is 3/4 (BetVictor) that United gain all three points against an Arsenal side who come here on the back of a remarkable League Cup match that saw them beat Reading 7-4. The head to head record favours a United side who have lost just one of their last ten meetings with Arsenal and have not lost at home to them since September 2006. United are in good form winning 11 of their last 12 matches with this defeat coming at home to Tottenham. If you think Arsenal can repeat the feat of their North London rivals and emerge with all three points then you can get them at 9/2 (Blue Sq/888 Sport). Arsenal have lost just one of their last 12 away from home and the draw can be had at a best priced 49/16 (pinnacle).

Robin Van Persie has grabbed seven goals in the league this season and can be backed at 9/2 (BetVictor/188 Bet) to grab the opener. Wayne Rooney has grabbed six in the last seven meetings between these sides and he is 11/2 (188 Bet/william hill) to score the opener. Theo Walcott grabbed a hat-trick in midweek in the League Cup and could be in line for a recall to the first team if so the forward could be some value at 16/1 (188 Bet) to grab the opener or 9/2 (paddy Power) to score at anytime. One of the keys behind the United defeat of Chelsea was Antonio Valencia who supplied Van Persie with some wonderful deliveries. Look for Valencia to be involved here and he is 3/1 in the boylesports anytime assist market or 9/1 to grab the first one. Also those who like to lay a bet should lay the HT score being 0-0. The Gunners have conceded a first half goal in each of their last five away games while United have scored six of their last eight Premier League goals in the first half.

The evening game should also be a good one as it features Man City away to West Ham. Despite the critics Man City remain the only team undefeated in the Premier League this season. City are grinding out the results that their performances perhaps do not merit. Bookmakers make City the 14/19 (pinnacle) favourites for the game while the draw is 3/1 (general) and a West Ham victory is 17/4 (boylesports). The recent head to head record favours City with them losing just one of their last 12 against the Hammers. Carlos Tevez is the 4/1 (general) favourite to score first though it is always difficult to get a handle on just which striker Mancini will select. Kevin Nolan looks the value player in the scorer market netting in four of the five home games West Ham have played this season. Nolan is 11/1 (bet365) to grab the opening goal or 7/2 (Skybet/Blue Sq/888 Sport) to score at anytime in the game. City have not kept a clean sheet in any of their six away games this season. Both teams to score also looks likely here as it would have paid in all six City away games this season and in each of the last six West Ham games. It is 4/6 (general) that both teams score here.
