The pick of the six 3:00pm games is the one that pitches Man City against Everton. Man City are 4/7 (william hill) to register victory and will be confident as they have won 33 of their last 36 home games (drawing the other three). Everton though will take heart from the fact that they were the last team to win at the Etihad in the league (December 2010) and from the fact that they have lost just two of their last ten in the league against City. It is 6/1 (Totesport/betfred) an Everton victory while the draw is a best priced 53/15 (pinnacle). The recommended bet in this game is Marouane Fellaini to score first at 14/1 (bet365/BetVictor) which is a huge price on a player who has scored seven goals already this season and four in his last four Everton games. The Belgian can also be backed at 5/1 (Coral) in the anytime scorer market.

Arsenal take on Swansea at the Emirates with the Gunners a 1/2 (general) chance. Anyone who takes the Gunners at that price must be mad as the Gunners have won just three of their last nine Premier League home games (and two of them were games in which the opposition had someone sent off). Swansea were excellent in midweek sweeping aside the in-form West Brom and odds of 37/20 (sportingbet) in the double chance market are just too good to pass up.

Fulham and Tottenham do battle at Craven Cottage with the visitors the 6/4 (general) favourites for the three points. Spurs will enter the game in good heart after two decent home wins. History is not on the side of Fulham who have won none of their last seven league matches against Spurs. Form is not kind either with them registering no win in their last six, drawing four of these. You can get 52/21 (pinnacle) that this game also ends drawn while the home victory is 39/19 (Pinnacle). The best bet in this game is the price on Gareth Bale to score which is 8/1 (bet365/BetVictor) to score first or 9/4 (BetVictor/Stan James) to score anytime. The Welshman has netted in each of the last three Premier League games.

Liverpool take on Southampton and are 4/9 (paddy Power/ladbrokes/william hill). Despite victory over Wigan in the last home game I can not be taking them at this short a price. Southampton are a funny team who attack like Barcelona and defend like a pub side. This is a game to Dog and Duck (see what I did there) for me betting wise. I think Liverpool will win but not at 4/9. I think the bet on this game is on the mammoth 28/1 (BWin) are offering on Jason Puncheon to net first. The winger is the same price as Joe Allen who will be hard pressed to have had one minute in the penalty box this season let alone threaten a goal. Puncheon meanwhile grabbed a goal on his last Premier League roadtrip. Puncheon can also be backed at 17/2 (BWin) to score anytime.

The other two games in the Premier League are tricky encounters as Aston Villa travel to QPR and Stoke are at West Brom. I can see both teams scoring in these two games though and it is 10/11 (Coral/william hill) both teams score at Loftus Road and 19/20 (Coral) at the Hawthorns.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Swansea in double chance market v Arsenal, 37/20 (sportingbet)
SILVER: Fellaini to score v Man City, first 14/1 (bet365/BetVictor), anytime 5/1 (Coral)
BRONZE: Bale to score v Fulham, first 8/1 (bet365/BetVictor), anytime 9/4 (BetVictor/Stan James)
