With three games in the Championship Tuesday here is our guide to the best of the action as well as the best of the bets from the outright makets.

Mark Robins has not had an easy time of it since taking over as Huddersfield boss with the first two games in chargw seeing his side lose 4-1 in the FA Cup and 6-1 in the league. At the weekend though they did pick up a point at home to Ipswich and I think they look a little overpriced to get something from their game at Turf Moor. Burnley are the 13/16 (pinnacle) favourites yet have not won any of their last five. Huddersfield can be backed with +0.5 on the Asian Handicap at 5/4 (188 Bet) which looks decent value as this will pay out on the game ending in a draw or a Terriers victory. At these prices against a struggling home side this looks a bet worth taking.

Perhaps the biggest game in the Championship is the one that looks the hardest to call from a betting point of view. Fifth placed Leicester take on tenth placed Blackburn with the Midlands side the 8/11 (Coral) favourites. The Foxes though are on a bad run of form with no win in their last four games and take on a Rovers side unbeaten in their last eight in all competitions. If anything the Lancashire side are the value at 24/5 (Stan James) and 53/17 (pinnacle) the draw. However, having played a number of games in recent weeks fatigue may catch up on them and as such I will swerve this game.

The third and final game in the Championship on Tuesday night is the one between Bolton and Peterborough with the Lancashire side the 3/4 (general) favourites. This looks a little short on a side with just two wins from their last seven games in all competitions. They have though won their last two games at home in the league including an impressive 4-1 demolition of high-flying Hull on Saturday. Posh did the business for us last week with a victory at Millwall though followed this up with a home loss to Birmingham. It would not be impossible for them to win the game at big odds again of 4/1 (general) while the draw is 3/1 (bet365/BetVictor). This again looks another game to swerve from a betting point of view.

Cardiff sit top of the Championship eight points clear and having played just 33 games while the teams round about them have played 34. It seems unlikely that they will be caught and odds of 1/5 (general) reflect this. The race is on the to finish behind them in second place with Watford the 11/10 (BWin) favourites, Hull are a 13/10 (sportingbet/Coral) chance while Leicester are 11/8 (general). One team I like the look of is Nottingham Forest who are 3/1 (BetVictor) a top six finish and a massive 16/1 (bet365) for promotion. Chances are Forest will have to go up through the play-offs but they are just four points away from them and are in good form since Billy Davies took over again. They have picked up seven points from their last three games including wins in their last two. Confidence seems to be spreading around the side and Davies is a master of getting his side into the play-offs and it looks worth a bet on them to make the top six and then a little small bet on them in the promotion markets.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Huddersfield +0.5 on the Asian Handicap v Burnley, 5/4 (188 Bet)
SILVER: Nottingham Forest to finish top six, 3/1 (BetVictor)
BRONZE: Nottingham Forest to be promoted, 16/1 (bet365)
