Birds (of the flying variety) and kite enthusiasts beware as the skies could become very busy on April 27th as we could have at least six or seven helicopters in the sky for the final day of the season. Just four points seperate the top seven in League One while the bottom of the table is just as interesting with four of the bottom six winning their last game while the other two drew. Almost every game matters in this division and this makes it fascinating. Here is our guide to the pick of the bets from the games on Saturday.

A quick look at the tables might see people rushing to back a Doncaster side top of the table at home to a side second bottom and some 32 points behind them. A massive word of caution though visiting Hartlepool are the form side in the division going seven games unbeaten, winning each of their last three. Doncaster meanwhile have failed to win each of their last three at home. If you think Hartlepool can get something out of this game then they are 4/1 (general) while a draw is available at 36/13 (pinnacle). This looks a tricky game to call and one to avoid from a betting point of view.

The best bet in the division this weekend is in taking Preston to get something out of their visit to the MK Dons. The Dons have won none of their last seven in all competitions and taken just three points from their last six games in the league. At home they have not won any of their last four, losing three of these. Preston have shown signs of life since the sacking of Graham Westley with victory over Bournemouth and a point from a game against Swindon. In Simon Grayson they have a smart manager who knows League One well and they are 16/5 (Skybet/boylesports) for victory while the draw is 77/29 (pinnacle). The MK Dons have drawn their last three so you will want to keep the draw onside and the best way to play this in the Asian Handicap market. Preston at +0.5 can be backed at 22/23 (Pinnacle) which pays out on the draw or a Preston victory.

Another bet I like the look of in League One is Bury to see off Crawley and boost their League One survival hopes. The Shakers were very professional in getting all three points off high-flying Swindon on Tuesday and this will have done their confidence a world of good. Opponents Crawley have won just one of their last seven in all competitions. On Tuesday against Brentford they had Mark Connolly sent off after 50 seconds. Richie Barker highlighted after the match how his side were struggling to fill the bench naming just six subs. A tired side short on numbers will not relish a visit to a Bury side who suddenly have the belief of safety. You can get a Bury victory at 13/8 (paddy Power) or try playing them at -0.25 on the Asian Handicap at 19/16 (Pinnacle) which pays out full on a Bury win or if it ends drawn just as a half loss.

I am not sure how a side who have fallen to defeat in each of their last five can be as short as 10/11 in some places and a best priced 11/10 (Coral). Stevenage were lifeless against Scunthorpe in midweek and offered little going forward this can only offer hope to visiting Colchester. Joe Dunne and his Colchester side will be full of confidence after they beat a Yeovil team who were on a nine game unbeaten run. They can be backed at 14/5 (bet365) for all three points or the draw is 29/11 (Pinnacle). My advice is to take Colchester on the double chance market with bet365 where they can be backed at 10/11 .

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Preston +0.5 on the Asian Handicap v MK Dons, 22/23 (Pinnacle)
SILVER: Bury -0.25 on the Asian Handicap v Crawley, 19/16 (Pinnacle)
BRONZE: Colchester in double chance market v Stevenage, 10/11 (bet365)
