With a mix of games from the Championship, League One and League Two as well as an FA Cup replay here is our guide to a busy midweek of action.

In the Championship three games take place including the battle between seventh and eighth as Brighton entertain Blackburn. It seems only a few weeks ago that Blackburn were starting to worry about another relegation as they looked closer to League One than a return to the Premier League. Such is the tight nature of this division that a run of seven points from their last three games has seen them suddenly shoot up the table. With Middlesbrough sliding in sixth a play-off slot has suddenly opened up. Bookmakers have Brighton as the 5/4 (Coral) favourites to win the game while the draw is 53/21 and a Blackburn win is 45/17 (both pinnacle). Bookmakers look to have priced this game about right.

The best bet in this division is in the game between Middlesbrough and Leeds where I like Ross McCormack in the scorer markets. The Leeds player has netted four in his last five and will fancy his chances against a Boro side that have shipped seven goals in their last two games. McCormack is 12/5 (Skybet) in the anytime scorer market.

The best bet in midweek comes in the League One game between Yeovil and Preston where Yeovil are an astonishing 13/10 (bet365/william hill). The facts speak for themselves the Glovers have won seven of their last eight league games and in their last four have seen off high-flyers Coventry, Brentford, MK Dons and Sheff United. Preston meanwhile have won just one of their last ten league games and in recent weeks have taken just one from their last four games including defeats to Walsall, Shrewsbury and Colchester. In no other circumstances should Yeovil be this price other than bookmakers pricing this up on name reputation. In addition I could not put anyone off backing Paddy Madden in the anytime scorer market as he has scored eight in his last five. bet365 are offering 5/4 though with many other good bets to make on the night it will not be one I am making. The Yeovil game is one of seven in League One Tuesday night with AFC Bournemouth having the chance to go top of the table if they can defeat Crewe. These two sides met recently with Bournemouth winning 3-1 so odds of 6/5 (boylesports/ladbrokes/Coral) do not look the worst price. Brett Pitman who scored a hat-trick in that game is 6/4 (bet365) in the anytime goalscorer market.

Wycombe are on a good run of form winning nine of their last 13 and each of their last three to nil. Under Gareth Ainsworth they are playing with a lot of confidence and up against a Bradford side who have lost the plot since making it to Wembley they look good things for all three points. The Bantams have not won any of their five since beating Villa and have won just three games away all season. Wycombe are 17/10 (BetVictor) to get all three points.

In a game that is televised on ESPN Leicester take on Huddersfield in the FA Cup with the Foxes the 2/5 (general) favourites. If this was the league I would think this an okay price though with it being the cup I am unsure just where this lies on the list of priorities for the Foxes. Huddersfield have shown no real signs of form though they might be on the big side at 17/2 (BetVictor) and the draw at 4/1 (bet365/BetVictor) considering both sides are in the same division.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Yeovil to beat Preston, 13/10 (bet365/william hill)
SILVER: Wycombe to beat Bradford, 17/10 (BetVictor)
BRONZE: Ross McCormack to score anytime v Middlesbrough, 12/5 (Skybet)
