Premier League preview and odds: Arsenal vs Swansea City

October 15 , 2016 15:00pm - Emirates Stadium

Premier League

The Premier League`s best form team over the last six matches will take on one the worst as third-ranked Arsenal welcome 17th-ranked Swansea City to the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

Gunners just two points off the pace

Last season`s Premier League runners up will look to maintain the pressure on league leaders Manchester City with a win on home soil against lowly opposition this weekend.

Arsenal have not been beaten since they fell at home to Jurgen Klopp`s Liverpool on the opening day and come into this game unbeaten in six, and on the back of five straight wins . In their last match, they edged to a 1-0 victory against a stubborn Burnley side, while their last home win was a 3-0 romp past fellow Londoners Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Swansea City will begin a new era under the guidance of American coach Bob Bradley. The former USA national team boss fought off some stiff competition - including Welshman Ryan Giggs - to land his first job in English football and will be keen to make a quick impression.

While Bradley`s main goal will be to keep the Swans in the top flight, a mid-table finish would probably be a more palatable outcome for the club`s ambitious American owners. The Welsh club come into this game with the worst form in the league having picked up just one point from their last six matches.

Team news

Arsenal`s injury woes continue with Chuba Akpom, Olivier Giroud, Aaron Ramsey, Danny Welbeck and Per Mertesacker all still out of action.

Meanwhile, the Swans will have to cope without the injured group of Jefferson Montero, Fernando Llorente, Frederico Fernandez and Nathan Dyer.
