Premier League

AFC Bournemouth will look to extend their unbeaten run to three games when they welcome a Hull City side who are winless in five to the Vitality Stadium on Saturday.

Bournemouth back on track after poor start

After losing their first two games of the season, AFC Bournemouth bounced back with a run of five games featuring two wins, two draws and a single defeat to league leaders Manchester City. As a result, the club currently sit in 13th place in the table with a total of eight points.

The Cherries are enjoying their second season in the top flight and have continued where they left off last season, playing positive attacking football but with a slightly leaky defence.

Unfortunately, their attacking mentality has not resulted in too many goals, with only Burnley and Stoke City having scored less this term. If they can sharpen up in the final third, they could be contenders for a top 10 finish.

Boss Eddie Howe was recently linked with the England job but the media attention does not seem to have distracted the young coach, who continues to go about his business in an impressive manner.

The South Coast team come into this match on the back of a 2-2 draw away to Watford and will be looking to bag their third-straight home win.

Meanwhile, Hull City will look to break a five-game winless streak when they make the long journey south on Saturday. With Mike Phelan now confirmed as permanent boss, there is now at least some stability at the newly-promoted club.

The Tigers started the season brightly with back-to-back wins at home to Leicester City and away to Swansea City but have only picked up one point in the subsequent five games. They come into this match on the back of a 0-2 defeat at home to Chelsea. Prior to that, they were hammered 5-1 away by Liverpool.

Team news

The home side will continue without the services of Joshua King, Harry Arter and Marc Pugh.

Meanwhile, the visitors will have to make do without the injured group of Greg Luer, Alex Bruce, Moses Odubajo, Michael Dawson and Brian Lenihan.
