Here is a brief guide to each Premier League club and a look at some related betting markets.

Arsenal: Last season Arsenal had a terrible start and still secured 70 points, back them to go over 71 at 6/5 with bet365.

Aston Villa: New man Paul Lambert should do a much better job than Alex McLeish and with some solid new signings and the returning Darren Bent take Villa to finish as top Midlands club at 6/4 (general).

Chelsea: With Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka both gone and Daniel Sturridge not seeming to be one of Roberto Di Matteo’s favourites the 13/8 (Stan James) on Fernando Torres to be the top scorer in the league looks the best bet involving Chelsea.

Everton: Despite the loss of Jack Rodwell this has been the most secure summer for a long time at the club with Pienaar and Naismith in. The Toffees should have no problems to finish top 8 (8/13-Stan James) and if they can turn the Rodwell cash into another winger (Adam Johnson) they might even finish top six (5/1 Stan James).

Fulham: Should be set for another solid season under Martin Jol and the 7/4 (Stan James) on them to finish top ten looks the value bet.

Liverpool: Liverpool under new boss Brendan Rodgers should be taking slow but steady steps up the league, fans must be patient though. I like the look of 13/2 (Stan James) on Steven Gerrard to finish as top league scorer for Liverpool. With the return to fitness of Lucas and the signing of Joe Allen, expect Gerrard to get forward more.

Man City: City have not strengthened in the way Mancini would have hoped, but they have showed no signs of slowing down. Take the 5/4 bet365 are offering on over 84 points for City, some five points short of their tally last season. Also take the 9/4 (boylesports/Coral) that City claim the most points from matches between the big six.

Man Utd: The addition of Van Persie and Kagawa and a fully fit Vidic means they should run City close and once more the over points looks the way to go, over 81 is 6/5 with bet365.

Newcastle: Papiss Cisse at evens (paddy Power) is someone we are tipping up as top scorer and that price to be top Newcastle scorer looks a steal. Even if he goes to the African Cup of Nations so too will nearest challenger Dembe Ba.

Norwich: We have already highlighted that Grant Holt looks a good EW bet for top scorer, but Holt looks a real steal at 6/4 (bet365) to finish as top Norwich league scorer.

QPR: Again on the goal scoring track look for Djibril Cisse at 9/4(BetVictor/Stan James) to finish as the top league scorer for QPR.

Reading: Pavel Pogrebniak netted six in 12 for Fulham and will be the focal point of Reading attack and is 7/4 (BetVictor) to be top Reading league scorer.

Southampton: Take Southampton to concede most goals this season at 4/1 (Stan James)

Stoke: Look for Stoke to struggle this season and take 2/1 (Stan James) that they do not finish in the top 15.

Sunderland: I would recommend the 10/11 (Stan James) on them to finish 11th or Worse.

Swansea: Danny Graham at 15/8 (BetVictor) looks a great bet to be top Swansea league scorer.

Tottenham: Take the 5/6 on Gylfi Sigurdsson scoring over 6.5 goals this season.

West Brom: May struggle this season and 6/4 (Stan James) on them not to finish top 15 looks the bet.

West Ham: Will not have the season many will suspect so try the 7/4 (Stan James) that Allardyce is not manager at the club at the end of the season.

Wigan: Back Wigan at 5/4 (Stan James) to finish in the top 15 as they continue to defy expectations.
