Leicester To Move Off Bottom With Swansea Win

Premier League

Leicester could move off the foot of the Premier League table tomorrow should they record a victory over Swansea at home. To escape the relegation zone the Foxes will have to beat the Welsh club by a margin of three goals and hope that Burnley lose away at Everton and both Hull and Queens Park Rangers fail to win their games in hand. A loss would see City remain in 20th position and could see their aforementioned fellow strugglers pull away.

In contrast Swansea are safe from relegation and are hoping to maintain their positive results to enable them to record a top 10 finish in the Premier League this season. Garry Monk`s men will move to within four points of seventh placed Tottenham with a win away at the King Power Stadium. Losing against Leicester would allow both West Ham and Stoke to close the gap on the Whites to one point, something that would jeopardise the Swans` top half ambitions.

The last time these two sides met was in the reverse Premier League fixture at the Liberty Stadium in October. Swansea City ran out the 2-0 winners on this occasion, now Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony grabbing a goal in either half to secure the result.

Betvictor have 21/1 on another 2-0 win to the Welsh side, this being the best price on offer. The same bookmakers have the best price on a Swans win to nil, that being 6/1 whilst 12/1 (Betvictor) says that Swansea will be able to seal a victory by a two goal margin. Tangentially, Skybet have 9/1 on Leicester securing this match by a three goal margin, this being the necessary swing to see them move above the three relegation places.

Home fans will be buoyed to know that their home advantage and their good recent form means that it is their team who have been installed as the favourites to take all three points from the match-up. Nigel Pearson`s men can be backed at 6/5 at most bookmakers. Alternatively, bet365 have the best price of 11/4 on a Swansea win whilst a draw is up for grabs at 5/2, this again being available at most bookies.

Leicester`s good form has seen them win back-to-back Premier League matches, their first being a 2-1 home win over West Ham, the second being a 3-2 win on the road at West Bromwich Albion. Prior to this they had previously put three past Tottenham in an end-to-end 4-3 defeat.

Betfair`s 3/4 says that both sides will score tomorrow with David Nugent and Jamie Vardy good prices to get their names on the scoresheet for their side after both scoring two of their club`s last nine goals. Whilst Nugent is a 5/2 chance to add to his tally at any time with 32red, 888sport, Stan James and unibet Vardy is on offer at 11/4 (betfred, Bwin Coral, Totesport).

Picking up two wins and a draw in their last three games means that Monk`s men are looking to go unbeaten in four Premier League matches tomorrow. Bafetimbi Gomis has been responsible for three of the five goals his team have bagged in these three games and can be picked up at 5/2 (betfred, Totesport) to continue his solid run of goal scoring form.

Three of these last five Swansea goals came in the second 45, which means that there could be value in william hill`s 17/10 that says that the second half will be the Swans` highest scoring period. Eleven-to-four with the same bookmaker says that the first half will be the most fruitful in terms of goals for the visitors whilst 6/5 (bet365) says an equal amount of goals will be hit in both halves.
