Five games are scheduled to take place in League One on Tuesday night here is our guide to the best of the bets from these matches.

The pick of the games is undoubtedly the one that pitches fifth placed Sheffield United against third placed Brentford. The Blades recently parted company with manager Danny Wilson and have Chris Morgan in charge until the end of the season. Morgan must have been happy Saturday as his side were comfortable victors over Swindon. A win here for Sheff U would move them three behind Bournemouth in second and with a game in hand of the Cherries. Brentford know that a win here puts them above Bouremouth into second having played the same amount of games and just one behind leaders Doncaster. Bookmakers have the Blades at 6/4 (bet365/paddy Power) while a Brentford win is 85/40 (BetVictor) and the draw a best priced 12/5 (bet365/BetVictor). It is a very difficult game to predict and as such you might be best to avoid betting on this match.

A remarkable battle between father and son takes places as Oldham take on Yeovil. Son Lee will lead the Latics against the visiting Yeovil managed by dad Gary. No family favours will be done here as both sides badly need the three points. Oldham need them to stave off relegation as they sit two points above safety. Yeovil need them to keep alive their hopes of automatic promotion as a win here would move them onto 77 points just two behind Bournemouth with two games remaining. The bet here is in taking Paddy Madden at 31/20 (BetVictor) in the anytime scorer market. Madden is a goal-machine who has netted 23 at this level and looks worth siding with here against an Oldham side that has kept a clean sheet in just two of their last eleven home games.

Also at the bottom of the table Bury take on Scunthorpe in a game that features two badly out of form sides. The head-to-head record suggest Scunthorpe could get something here as they remain undefeated in their last four against Bury. Odds of 13/10 (general) do not appeal even if Bury are relegated and Scunthorpe have more to play for. Those who think Bury can get something from the game can back them at 5/2 (bet365) while the draw is 12/5 (general).

Despite a defeat to Leyton Orient at the weekend I think the MK Dons look good things to beat Colchester at 13/10 (general). Colchester have won just two of their last eight (although one of these wins did actually come against Leyton Orient) and have lost three of their last five at home. The MK Dons have lost just one of their last five (winning three of these). A win here and a defeat for Swindon will see them move to just within one point of them in the play-off race meaning the visitors still have plenty to play for.

Swindon are far too short to see off Crewe on Tuesday night at 8/13 (Coral). The Robins have not won any of their last five, losing each of their last three. It might be worth chancing that this lack of confidence will continue against Crewe. You can get Crewe at 15/14 (188 Bet) with +1.0 on the Asian Handicap. This will pay out if Crewe win or draw and refund stakes if they lose by one goal. Swindon have not won any of their last six at home while Crewe have just lost two of their last nine by more than one goal.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Crewe +1.0 on Asian Handicap v Swindon, 15/14 (188 Bet)
SILVER: MK Dons to beat Colchester, 13/10 (general)
BRONZE: Paddy Madden to score anytime v Oldham, 31/20 (BetVictor)
