The race for the Champions League spots takes centre stage Sunday and with Arsenal winning against Fulham then the pressure is on Chelsea and Tottenham to get all three points. Here is our guide to the best of the bets from the games Sunday.

Tottenham are once again in danger of seeing their North London rivals pip them at the post in the race for the Champions League. Despite the promise of Gareth Bale being in the squad I can not see Spurs winning this game against Man City. City have won each of their last four, scoring nine and conceding just two. In addition they have won each of their last four in the league against Tottenham. City are ending the season in good form and with FA Cup places up for grab they should still have something to play for here. Odds of 6/4 (general) on them to win this game look generous and I would recommend making this your best bet on Sunday. If you disagree though and think Tottenham can get something from the game then you can back them at 2/1 (general) while the draw is 5/2 (Stan James). Sticking with this game and I like the look of Carlos Tevez at 2/1 (sportingbet/ladbrokes) in the anytime goalscorer market. The Argentinian has netted seven times in his last eight games including last time out against Wigan. Tottenham meanwhile have started leaking goals conceding six in their last three games in all competitions. Games between these sides have history of goals with 14 goals being scored in the last three games in the league between these sides. Bookmakers make over 2.5 goals make it 37/40 (BetVictor/188 Bet) while under 2.5 goals is available at evens with 32 Red.

The second game of the afternoon is between Liverpool and Chelsea at Anfield. The game is one about reunions as not only will Fernando Torres will return to Liverpool so too will former manager Rafa Benitez. Bookmakers make Liverpool the 5/4 (paddy Power) favourites for the game while the draw is 13/5 (BetVictor) as is the Chelsea victory (boylesports). The recent record between these sides at Anfield would suggest that the home team look the ones to side with as Chelsea have won only one of their last six Premier League visits to Anfield while Liverpool have won four and lost none of their last five league meetings with Chelsea. Chelsea though are a better side than Liverpool and the league table shows this. In the league they have won four of their last five games while Liverpool have won just one of their last four. It makes sense then to take Chelsea and cover the option of a draw. The London side can be backed at 6/4 (general) in the draw no bet market which looks the way to play the game. The game features two out of form strikers with Luis Suarez looking for his first league goal in 429 minutes while Torres has gone even further without netting in the Premier League going 907 minutes without a goal. Suarez is 5/1 (BetVictor/paddy Power/Coral) to score first while Torres is 389/50 (You Win). The value might be in backing Phillipe Coutinho at 12/1 Coral) to grab the opener as the midfielder has found himself denied by some bad luck and inspired goalkeeping in recent weeks. Liverpool have played out two 0-0 draws in their last two games while Chelsea have kept a clean sheet in three of their last five Premier League games. It is a shock then to see under 2.5 goals available at 6/5 (BetVictor).

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Man City to beat Tottenham, 6/4 (general)
SILVER: Chelsea to beat Liverpool, draw no bet, 6/4 (general)
BRONZE: Carlos Tevez to score anytime v Tottenham, 2/1 (sportingbet/ladbrokes)
