Due to the FA Cup semi-finals this weekend we don’t have any live Premier League games on Saturday but we do still have five games taking place, here is our guide to the best of the bets from these matches.

First up is the game at the Emirates which looks a straight forward affair for Arsenal as they play host to a Norwich side who look like a marathon runner who has hit the wall a couple of miles out. Only Man United have taken as many points (15) as the Gunners in the last six Premier League games while the Canaries are without a win in their last seven away games and have won just one of their 15 league games (drawing seven). Odds of 5/19 (pinnacle) on a home victory do not really appeal to me. I would much rather be on the 11/1 (888 Sport) on Tomas Rosicky to score first or 4/1 in their anytime scorer market. True Wenger has reported the player as an injury worry however stakes will be refunded if the player does not play at all or you can hold your money until you hear the teamnews.

Aston Villa did the business for us last week when they saw off Stoke however at odds of 4/3 (pinnacle) at home to Fulham I will not be rushing to back them. The London side made it difficult for Newcastle last weekend and can count themselves a little unlucky to have gone down to a very late Papiss Cisse strike. Fulham could be a shade of value at 27/11 (Pinnacle) with the draw a player at 12/5 (BetVictor/Stan James). The recommended bet has to be the 9/4 (Stan James) on Dimitar Berbatov to score at anytime. Villa for all the goals they are scoring are still letting them in at the other end and the savvy of Berbatov could find numerous spaces to operate. The Bulgarian is a player in form as well netting seven in his last seven games.

It looks mission impossible for QPR following the late Wigan goal that denied them three points last weekend. A visit to an Everton side with still dreams of the Champions League does not look easy. The Toffees are 9/20 (BetVictor/You Win) while the draw is 15/4 (BetVictor) and a QPR victory is 133/18 (Pinnacle). The bet here is on the evens (boylesports/william hill) on both teams to score as this would have paid in each of the last five QPR games and in 21 of the last 26 league games for Everton.

Reading like QPR missed their chance last week and they are also doomed to life in the Championship next season. If they can not beat Southampton at home then they have no hope against Liverpool though I will not be siding with the Merseysiders at 1/2(general). A Royals victory is of no interest at 13/2 (general) while the draw is 19/5 (BetVictor/pinnacle). Luis Suarez is 6/5 (betfred) to score and for Liverpool to win the game and this look the way to play it. The striker has a great record against the lower ranked teams in the division.

Southampton take on West Ham in a game between two sides who sit on 37 points and look reasonably safe. The Saints have some great home form though 10/11 (Totesport/betfred) looks a little too short. The draw is the most likely result to me at 49/18 (Pinnacle) and the West Ham away win is available at 62/17 (Pinnacle). This looks a tough game to call from a betting point of view.

BEST OF THE BET

GOLD: Liverpool to beat Reading and Suarez anytime scorer, 6/5 (betfred)
SILVER: YES in both teams to score Everton v QPR, evens (boylesports/william hill)
BRONZE: Dimitar Berbatov to score at anytime v Villa, 9/4 (Stan James)
