Some things happen in the season that are seen as turning points and one such moment could be the third Real Madrid goal against Man City. The goal not only give Madrid all three points in their Champions League opener it also should give them huge confidence after a stuttering start to the league campaign. Though Rayo Vallecano have started the season well it would be huge shock if Real did not beat them Sunday evening. The best way to get involved with Los Blancos is to take them to cover -1.75 on the Asian Handicap at 13/12 (pinnacle) which would have paid in four of the last six meetings. Also in Spain that weekend Barcelona should coast past Granada while Deportivo v Sevilla and Bilbao against Malaga should be good close games for the neutral.

Over in France Jean Pierre Papin recently stated his belief that PSG could end the Ligue 1 season undefeated. Two recent wins in the league and success in their Champions League opener has renewed optimisim for Carlo Ancelotti and his men. Two weeks ago his job was supposedly on the line now he could lead his team through the season unbeaten. Welcome to the fickle world of football. This weekend PSG are away to Bastia (not to be confused with former WWE wrestle Batista) and should grab all three points. After a solid start Bastia have lost their last three games (losing their last two 3-0). PSG should have too much class so get involved in the 7/10 (ladbrokes) for victory and 7/4 (Stan James) in the half time/full time market. Marseille are the only team in France to have a 100% record and they should continue this at home to Evian TG on Sunday. The leaders have conceded just once in their last six home games and some people will be tempted by the 6/5 (ladbrokes) are offering on them to win to nil.

Bayern Munich and Eintracht Frankfurt are the early pace-setters in Germany with three wins from their opening three games. This weekend Bayern travel to Schalke in the game of the weekend. It is evens (william hill) a Munich victory while Schalke are 3/1 (bet365/BetVictor/pinnacle). Try the over 3.5 goals as that is 7/4 (william hill) which is generous as both sides are packed with goalscoring options. Hamburg have had a terrible start to the season and they take on a Dortmund side unbeaten in their last 31 league games. Dortmund might be added to many accumulators this weekend at odds of 8/13 (general).

In Serie A three teams have won all three of their opening games, Juventus, Napoli, Lazio. The Old Lady face Chievo this weekend and many might want to lump on at 4/11 (paddy Power/ladbrokes/william hill). A word of caution though as Juventus had a tough Champions League game in midweek and are not used to the dual demands of domestic and European football. In addition Chievo are something of a bogey team to Juve as they are unbeaten against them in their last five head to heads (drawing four of these). Another side who might find their 100% record coming to an end are Lazio when they play host to Genoa. The away side are a decent outfit who won both of their meetings with Lazio last season. Lazio will be tired after playing in Europé on Thursday and 34-year-old Miroslav Klose may struggle to perform in two games in such a short spell. Genoa at +0.75 on the Asian Handicap can be had at 25/18 (pinnacle) which looks a good price.
