With another full fixture list of action in the English Football League let us have a look at where the value lies in our weekly preview.

Birmingham host Barnsley Saturday evening in the Championship and the home side are 13/20 (BetVictor) favourites against a side who have not won any of their last nine at St Andrews. If you think the Tykes can put an end to that awful run of away form that has seen them lose 12 of their last 13 away games then you can get 49/16 (pinnacle) the draw or 6/1 (boylesports) an away victory. I like the look of the 20/12 Stan James are offering on both sides to score. This bet would have landed in six of the last eight Birmingham league home games and in each of the last five Barnsley away games in all competitions. The pick of the bets in the non-live games is Bristol City at 25/19 (32 Red) in the draw no bet market at Watford. Some 11 points seperates these sides though not in the way the bookmakers seem to think. It is Bristol City who are ninth yet are the 12/5 (bet365) for victory over a Watford side who have won just one of their last five games (losing their last three). City won at Peterborough last time out to make it three wins from their last five and confidence will be high. Watford have conceded 11 goals this season and City striker Sam Baldock will fancy his chances of getting among the goals. Baldock is 7/1 (Stan James) to score first and 2/1 (paddy Power) to score at anytime.

In League One two bets caught the eye. The first is Matt Derbyshire at 9/1 (bet365) to score first or 3/1 (bet365) to score at anytime for Oldham against Brentford. The former Blackburn striker has settled in well for the Latics in League One and has grabbed two goals in the last two games. Brentford have conceded at least one goal in eight of their last ten. Another goalscorer bet I like is the 10/1 (paddy Power) are offering on Andy Robinson to net first or 7/2 that he scores anytime. The Tranmere man has grabbed six already this season including two in his last three games.

Before we go into League Two let us have a quick look at one of the outright markets. Bradford striker James Hanson was our tip at the start of the season, at a big price, to finish as top goalscorer in League Two and he has not disappointed grabbing four in seven games including a goal in each of his last two. Though the likes of Tom Pope, Danny Kedwell and Jamie Cureton have grabbed the headlines the Bradford front-man has slipped under the radar and is still a bargain 33/1 with paddy Power who are paying ¼ the odds the top four places.

In terms of the action Saturday the best bet in League Two is Rochdale to beat Dagenham & Redbridge at 15/14 (pinnacle). Dale have won three of their last four league matches while the visitors have won just one of their last 11 in the league and none this season. In addition Burton might be worth a little interest at 2/1 (Coral) to beat Torquay in the draw no bet market bearing in mind they have won their last three games netting seven in their last two. This is nothing against home side Torquay who are solid however the Gulls have won just one of their last six home games.
