Hull City will not only be hoping to record a win at home to Tottenham on Sunday (23rd November), they will also be looking to get on the scoresheet having gone 270 minutes without finding the back of the net.

Steve Bruce`s side`s profligacy is unexpected after scoring twice in each of their six matches from the 15th September to the 18th October including hitting two past Premier League Champions Manchester City and European hopefuls Arsenal.

The Tigers` run without a goal began during the last week of October with a goalless draw against Liverpool, a positive result despite failing to worry Simon Mignolet between the sticks. City then fell to back-to-back 1-0 losses against everyone`s favourite title outsiders Southampton and bottom club Burnley.

Perhaps in light of Hull`s previous form in front of goal, Tottenham can be backed at a massive 2/1 with Spreadex to keep a clean sheet. A Spurs win to nil is also available at 14/5 with Coral. Those wanting to back both teams to score can pick up a price of 4/5 with most bookmakers whilst Spreadex are offering 11/10 on the outcome being a goalless tie.

Maricio Pochettino`s men, who in 12th position are three places above the North East side, will be looking to get their season back on track after losing 2-1 to Stoke last time out. The home side went 2-0 down at White Hart Line through goals from Bojan Krkic and Jonathan Walters before Nacer Chadli halved the deficit.

The result followed a run of three matches without a defeat in all competitions having picked up wins against Brighton & Hove Albion in the League Cup, Aston Villa in the Premier League and Greek outfit Asteras Tripolis in Group C of the Europa League.

Youngster Harry Kane scored in all three of the wins which saw him bag seven goals in as many straight games. The 21 year old provided the second in the 2-0 victory over Brighton with the first coming from Erik Lamela 10 minutes in to the second half. He then served up the winner in squeaky bum time as Spurs came from behind to snatch a victory from the jaws of defeat at Villa Park.

Andreas Weimann`s effort separated the sides well into the final minutes of the match before Chadli converted his effort and Kane hit the winner.

Finally, Tripolis were Kane-d with the forward doubling the lead set down by Andros Townsend`s converted penalty. Jeronimo Barrales` converted kick from the penalty spot was a mere consolation goal despite Spurs seeing Federico Fazio sent off.

Chingford-born Kane is 19/10 (Bwin) to score at any time on Sunday.

Despite not having the best away record in the league having only won two from five, Tottenham are 5/4 with both Coral and william hill to re-start their domestic campaign with a win after the international break.

Pochettino will be without Kyle Naughton, who has incurred a suspension after picking up a red card against Stoke, and Andros Townsend who withdrew from the England squad citing an ankle injury. The red card is Naughton`s second of the season. Hull`s mixed form means they are available at 27/10 with Betvictor and may further suffer with manager Bruce looking to make wholesale changes to the side that lost to Burnley.

First-choice goalkeeper Allan McGregor is expected to be back after injury as are captain Curtis Davies and ex-Spurs man Michael Dawson at centre-half. A start for Nikica Jelavic is also likely to start and he is available at 16/5 with paddy Power to grab his fifth goal at any time on Sunday.

The best odds on draw, a result that would be desirable for neither side, are 5/2 currently found at boylesports.
