DERBY V NOTTINGHAM FOREST, Saturday 22nd March, 12:15, Sky Sports

The live game in the Championship on Saturday lunchtime looks a cracker as Derby and Forest meet in the East Midlands derby. As someone who spent a year living in Nottingham and working in Derby I know how passionate this one is. The added spice is that both sides need the three points in the promotion race with the Rams in third and Forest in seventh. Bookmakers make Derby the 6/5 (BETVICTOR/william hill) favourites despite a run of form without a victory or a goal in March. Forest are in poor form themselves with no win in seven and can be backed at 11/4 (bet365) to come out on top here.

Take the half-time scoreline to be 0-0 as both sides are struggling for goals. Derby have failed to score in their last four while Forest have managed just two goals in their last four games.

RECOMMENDATION: 0-0 half time score, 15/8 (boylesports)

OTHER CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES, Saturday 22nd Match, 15:00

The best bet in the division is to take Wigan to see off Watford at home despite their recent disappointment in midweek against Yeovil. The Latics have won six of their last seven and were close to making it seven against the Glovers in midweek. Wigan are up against a Watford side who have won just three times away from home this season with the last of these victories coming away at Huddersfield in October. QPR have failed to find the net in three of their last four away games and take on a Middlesbrough side who have seven clean sheets from their last eight for Boro at their own ground and I think they represent value to keep another one.

RECOMMENDATIONS: Wigan to beat Watford, 21/20 (GENERAL)
Middlesbrough to keep a clean sheet, 8/5 (ladbrokes)

LEAGUE 1, Saturday 22nd March

A word of caution be sure to note that the game between Sheff United and Wolves actually kicks off at 13:25 and 15:00. This is the game of the day in League One as the Blades look to continue a run of 11 games unbeaten in the league, winning ten of these. Wolves meanwhile are starting to stutter a little losing back-to-back games and 13/10 (william hill) the home side in the draw no bet market looks much too big to pass up considering they last lost at their own ground back in November.

Staying with the draw no bet market and I like Leyton Orient to bounce back and get something from their visit to Walsall at 6/5 (SKYBET/BETVICTOR/SPREADEX). Orient have lost just one of the last seven and that came against a Brentford side who are also in form. Walsall meanwhile are without a win in their last nine games.

RECOMMENDATIONS: L.Orient draw no bet, 6/5 (SKYBET/BETVICTOR/SPREADEX)
Sheffield United draw no bet, 13/10 (william hill)

League 2, Saturday 22nd March, 15:00

It is Rochdale who are the table toppers in League Two and they are going well having lost just one of their last nine game. Dale are 31/20 (bet365) for victory against a Wycombe side who have taken just one point from their last three games.

A better bet in this division is taking NO in the both teams to score market between Portsmouth and York. This bet would have paid in eight of the last ten York games and seven of the last ten Portsmouth games including three of their last four.

RECOMMENDATION: No both teams to score, Portsmouth v York, 10/11 (WINNER)
