MAN CITY v FULHAM, Saturday 22nd March 2014, 15:00

You have to feel sorry for Fulham who just got their season started last week with a victory over Newcastle only to find a visit to Man City next on their fixture list. The blue half of Manchester are next to impossible to beat at their own ground suffering just three Premier League defeats in the last two seasons in front of their own fans. City are 1/6 (GENERAL) while the draw is 8/1 (bet365/BETVICTOR) and a Fulham win is 19/1 (BETVICTOR).

I like the look of the London side on the Asian Handicap with a 2.0 start as City have won just one of their last 11 games by more than two goals. Fulham have lost just one of their last 12 by more than two goals and this includes games with Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea.

RECOMMENDATION: Fulham +2.0 on Asian Handicap, 5/4 (WINNER)

NEWCASTLE V CRYSTAL PALACE, Saturday 22nd March 2014, 15:00

I think everyone involved with Newcastle would be happy if they could just call it a day and start again in August. As it is they must continue to play their games and as such you never know what you might get from them. A few weeks ago they were wonderful in a 4-1 victory over Hull, last weekend they were poor in a 1-0 loss to Fulham. I could not be backing them at 10/11 (SKYBET/paddy Power/william hill) though nor could I be siding with a Palace side who have won just one of their last eight Premier League away games.

The best bet is to take NO in the both teams to score market as the Magpies have scored just seven times in their last ten league games (and four of these came in one game) while Palace have grabbed just one goal in their last four and just six away all season in the league.

RECOMMENDATION: NO in both teams to score , 5/6 (BETVICTOR/STAN JAMES)

NORWICH V SUNDERLAND, Saturday 22nd March 2014, 15:00

The fans of these two clubs have close bond linked back to the 1985 Milk Cup Final (League Cup for our younger readers) and they contest something known as the ’Friendly Cup.’ All friendships will be off this weekend as both teams are desperate for three points at the bottom of the table. The Canaries have lost just twice against sides in the bottom half of the table at their own ground in the last few seasons and can be backed at 5/4 (paddy Power/william hill) while the draw is a real option at 23/10 and a Sunderland victory is priced at 14/5 (BETVICTOR).

The recommended bet is to take Adam Johnson to score as the Canaries looked brutally exposed to pace against Southampton and the midfielder can take advantage of a backline that has shipped nine goals in their last three games.

RECOMMENDATION: Adam Johnson to score anytime v Norwich, 5/1 (CORAL)

WEST HAM V MAN UNITED, Saturday 22nd March, 17:30, SKY SPORTS

With springtime around the corner, I would recommend getting outside rather than watching this poor choice of an evening game. United beat a mediocre Greek side in midweek who sat back and invited them forward and suddenly Moyes is a genius to some. West Ham meanwhile are not the most entertaining side to watch at anytime. This game is also lacking the one real spark of invention with Robin van Persie likely to miss the game through injury. The Red Devils are 10/11 (william hill) while the Hammers are 18/5 (WINNER) to beat a United side they have not seen off in their last ten meetings. I thought Danny Welbeck was an under-rated performer in midweek for United and his pace should cause a slow Hammers backline some problems on Saturday.

RECOMMENDATION: Danny Welbeck to score anytime, 37/19 (888 SPORT/unibet)
