With so much hype surrounding the two managers in the lead up to the game, come kick-off time it will all be down to the players as Manchester United meet Chelsea at Old Trafford in a mouthwatering Premier League clash.

Last season, Jose Mourinho visited Old Trafford early on in the campaign and set his team up so they did not lose the match and came away with a 0-0 score line. However, it`s already clear this season that Louis van Gaal`s team have not got what it takes to challenge at the very top of the Premier League and that Mourinho finally has a Chelsea squad that he is happy with and that he knows has what it takes to win the league this season.

Given the current form of the two teams, it`s easy to see why Chelsea come into the match as 6/4 favourites with bet365 to take all three points back to Stamford Bridge. Chelsea have yet to taste defeat this season and it`s already been discussed, in the media especially, that they have got it in them to remain undefeated until the end of the Premier League season. Diego Costa is seen as being doubtful for the match but it wouldn`t be the first time this season that Mourinho has highlighted the fitness of his main striker before a match only for the Spanish international to start the match and score. Costa is available at 9/2 with bet365 to grab the first goal of the game.

Manchester United`s form has again been indifferent this season, having won only three of their eight Premier League games and conceding 12 goals during that period. In addition to this, Manchester United have yet to be tested by a really top team, West Ham United being their biggest test to date in terms of league position and they are 21/20 with boylesports to end Chelsea`s unbeaten start to these season. If they are to do this, it may be a case of having to out-score the opposition as opposed to keeping things tight and nicking a 1-0 win, therefore the 4/1 offered by SkyBet for both teams to score and Manchester United to win is worth considering.

With two unlikely goal scorers in their away draw to West Bromwich Albion last week, van Gaal will want to see a return to form for striker Robin van Persie, who has been coming in for a bit of criticism of late and is 13/2 with BetVictor to get the opening goal of the game. Angel Di Maria, who has been Manchester United`s stand out performer so far this season with three league goals to his name, is 3/1 with bet365 to score at any time during the match.

There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 10 of Manchester United`s last 11 home league matches and Coral offer 10/11 for this to happen again here. Also, in six of their last eight home matches that Manchester United have been leading at half-time, they have gone on to win the match and they are 17/4 with BetVictor to repeat that in this game. However, Chelsea have been wining at both half-time and full-time in their last three league matches and are 31/10 with BetVictor to meet the half-time and full-time whistle with the advantage.

In terms of goal scoring, Chelsea have averaged almost three goals per game in the Premier League this season and can be backed at 5/4 with Coral to score two or more goals at Old Trafford.
