Bournemouth will be all but promoted to the Premier League this evening should they see off Bolton Wanderers at home. Anything less and the Cherries will be forced to go into the final game of the season looking for a victory. Eddie Howe`s men currently sit in second in the Championship, level on points with third placed Middlesbrough. Their superior goal difference, however, means that they would be almost uncatchable should they get the better of the North West side tonight.

Again, this goal difference means that they would not be replaced by Boro should they lose though they would need to get maximum points against Charlton in their last game of the season to go up automatically.

There is less riding on this match-up for Bolton who have avoided the dreaded drop zone. They will just be looking to move as far up the table as possible. Neil Lennon`s Whites currently sit in 18th position but could usurp both Huddersfield and Fulham with a win on the road. Their superior points tally means that they would not be at risk of immediately dropping down the league should they lose tonight`s clash.

The two clubs last met in October in the reverse Championship fixture at Bolton`s Macron Stadium. Despite a goalless opening 45, the Cherries managed to take all three points from the game, hitting two goals to Wanderers` one in the second half. Bolton were under the stewardship of caretaker manager Andy Hughes after the leaving of ex-boss Dougie Freedman. He would later be replaced by former Celtic man Lennon.

Despite having Yann Kermorgant sent off late in the opening half, it was Bournemouth who managed to take the lead just one minute into the second period. Callum Wilson was the man who fired the visitors in front. Parity was restored just six minutes later through Jay Spearing with Wilson being on target once again 15 minutes later.

All of Betvictor, Coral and ladbrokes have 9/1 on Bournemouth winning by two goals to one once again with Wilson a 5/1 (unibet) shout to grab two or more goals. william hill have 9/2 on their being a sending off at any time during the encounter whilst Betvictor`s 18/5 says that the match will be tied at half time only for the Cherries to take all three points at the end of 90 minutes.

Indeed it is the second placed side who are the strong favourites to secure promotion this evening. The trio of betfred, Coral and Totesport have the best price of 3/10 on a home win. Otherwise, supporters of the underdog can get Bolton at the massive price of 12/1 at betfair with this bookmaker (along with bet365) offering the best price of 11/2 on a draw.

The Goldsands Stadium outfit have not lost a Championship game since their 2-1 defeat at the hands of Nottingham Forest back at the end of February. Bournemouth`s 2-2 draw with Sheffield Wednesday last time out ended their run of three straight victories and their run of four straight home wins.

The Dorset club scored a total of 13 goals in these four victories and can be backed at 11/4 at both Coral and Spreadex to score over 3.5 goals tonight.

Both Brett Pitman and Yann Kermorgant were responsible for four of these goals and are up for grabs at 11/8 (betfred, Totesport) and 13/10 (Betbright, betfair) respectively to hit the back of the net at any time.

Five of these 13 goals came from the penalty spot with both bet365 and paddy Power having the best price of 4/1 on Bournemouth scoring a spot kick tonight.
