The first domestic competition reaches its climax tomorrow as Wembley plays host to Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur in the League Cup final. Both sides are going well in the Premier League, Chelsea leading the way whilst Spurs are just four points of the top four, and the team will hope that success in this competition will see them kick on in their pursuit of their respective top tier targets.

This final will be the third time that the two sides have met this season, both fixtures between the two clubs having been played in the Premier League. Chelsea host the Whites at Stamford Bridge in the initial fixture back in December, the Blues running out the 3-0 victors at home.

Chelsea went two to the good within the opening 25 minutes, Eden Hazard breaking the deadlock before Didier Drogba doubled his side`s advantage. This game remained at 2-0 until well past the 70th minute mark, Loic Remy hitting the back of the net for what was the final goal of the match. Betvictor have 15/1 on this being the score in the 16:00 kick-off tomorrow whilst 19/10 with the same bookmaker says that Chelsea will be able to win to nil.

A win to nil is somewhat unlikely following the result between the two sides in the reverse tie at White Hart Lane, Spurs running out the 5-3 winners in the eight goal thriller.

Again, Jose Mourinho`s Chelsea took the lead around the 20 minute mark, this time thanks to Diego Costa, but were pegged back at around the half hour mark following the first of two Harry Kane goals. Danny Rose got his name of the scoresheet and Andros Towsend converted a penalty to see the Whites go 3-1 at the end of the first 45 minute period.

Things got a whole lot worse for the Blues as Kane grabbed his second not long after the restart to extend his side`s lead and the score remained at 4-1 right up until the 60th minute when Eden Hazard pulled one back for the visitors. Nacer Chadli restored the three goal advantage with 10 minutes to go before John Terry made it 5-3 with just minutes to go.

A correct score prediction of 5-3 to Tottenham will see you receive winnings at odds of 750/1 at betfred. Kane is a 14/1 chance with a number of bookmakers to score to or more goals for a second time against Chelsea this season whilst Hazard, who is the only player to have scored in both games, can be backed at 9/4 with Bwin to hit the back of the net at any time for the third time against Mauricio Pochettino`s men.

Chelsea are the strong favourites to lift the trophy at the end of this match with boylesports offering the best price of 8/11. Coral, conversely, have the best price on a Spurs triumph with odds of 5/1 whilst a draw after 90 minutes can be grabbed at 31/10 with 888sport, Betvictor and unibet. A tie after 90 minutes will see the match decided in extra time and, failing that, by penalties.

Both sides received a bye into the third round of this tournament, Chelsea seeing off Championship club Bolton Wanderers in this opening stage by a score of two goals to one. Shrewsbury were then dispatched off in the fourth round (2-1) before Derby bit the dust in the quarter-final (3-1) and Liverpool lost in the semi-final over two legs (2-1).

Spurs were the 3-1 winners over Nottingham Forest before putting Brighton to the sword by two goals to nil. The quarter-final saw them face fellow Premier League side Newcastle, whom they defeat 4-0 as Sheffield United lost out over two legs in the semis (3-2).
