League Two

Gillingham are the early pace-setters in League two with a remarkable seven wins and one draw from their opening eight games which has given them a six point lead. At 4/1 (You Win) for the title they do not represent value as a lot of the season is still to be played. Among the front-runners in the betting are Rotherham at 5/1 (general) and Fleetwood at 11/2 (general). I would be avoiding those two at those prices though as sides are available at double figure quotes who are as good as them if not better. One such side is Bradford at 11/1 (general) who would be my current recommendation. The Bantams have won their last three league games and lost just one of their last seven. One of the keys for Bradford will be the goals of James Hanson who we have been high on to finish as top scorer and is still available at a great value 25/1 (Skybet/BetVictor). Hanson has four in his eight games this season.

The game of the weekend in League Two is that one that features Bradford up against Port Vale. As much as I like Bradford I can not be backing them at 6/4 (william hill) to see off Port Value after a tough League Cup tie in midweek that went on to extra-time. Added to this their opponents Port Vale are no mugs. Vale are currently second in the league, unbeaten in their last seven against Bradford and have won their last three away games (including wins at Rotherham and Fleetwood). pinnacle are going 2.2 on Port Vale on the Asian Handicap at 0. This means that the bet is effectively a draw no bet though at a little better price than anything available in the draw no bet market.

Gillingham are the early front-runners in League Two and many people might think of them as guarantees in their accumulators. A little word of caution though opponents Rochdale are also going well and have lost just one of their last five including victories at Rotherham and a home draw with Fleetwood. The home side are a best priced 13/15 (pinnacle) though are as short as 8/13 in some places.

Another bet with take is York at 6/5 (paddy Power/ladbrokes) in the draw no bet market at Aldershot. Aldershot are in terrible form winning just one of their last seven, losing four. York have lost just one of their last seven league games and that defeat came against a Burton side who are having a great season. Take the Minstermen at the value here.

Speaking of Burton we also think that they look great value at 7/5 (bet365/Coral/william hill) for all three points on Saturday. Burton have taken ten points from their last four games and take on a Northampton side who are two places behind them in ninth. The Cobblers are not easy opponents and have conceded just one goal in their last five games in all competitions. Burton though have to be backed at this price with home form and a number of goals in them.

I like the look of the 9/10 (Stan James) are offering on both teams to score in the game between Rotherham and Oxford. Both these sides have been leaking goals at the moment and this could be the case here. Rotherham have conceded nine in their last four games while Oxford have conceded 15 goals in their last five.

The final bet is a goalscorer bet on Romuald Boco who has grabbed three in his last five games and two in his last two. The Frenchman joined from Sligo Rovers at the end of August and has been a good addition to Stanley. He is 8/1 (Coral) to score first or 13/5 (Coral) to score at anytime. Opponents AFC Wimbledon have kept a clean sheet in just one of their last five league home games.
