Everton are 4/9 (paddy Power/ladbrokes) to see off Southampton and this bet will form the basis of many accumulators this weekend. As good as the Saints were in hammering Villa last weekend the Toffees were even more impressive in their victory over Swansea. You have to fancy the home side here as they have so much firepower at their disposal. Fellaini and Pienaar should once more boss the game and Everton should march on. The best way to get involved is to take the 4/7 (ladbrokes) are offering in the race to two goals. Everton come out of the blocks firing and a couple of early goals could be in store here.

Fulham take on Man City in what looks the pick of the Saturday 3pm games. The Whites have a good record at home though not so much against City (winning just one of their last ten). 16 of the last 17 meetings between these sides have seen both teams score, add this to a Fulham side that have already scored 12 goals this season and a Man City side that has conceded seven goals. The obvious and most straight forward to play this game is on the both teams to score market which is a best priced 14/19 (32 Red).

Norwich take on Liverpool in a game in which both sides will be desperate for the three points. While both managers can be heartened by performances points on the board is what matters and history favours Liverpool here. The Reds are a best priced 5/6 (Blue Sq) against a Norwich side they have won five of their last six against. It looks a game that is not one to get involved with from a betting point of view. Those looking for a small wager could do worse than taking a small punt on Canaries midfielder Alexander Tettey to score first at 33/1 (bet365) and 12/1 (bet365) to score anytime. The Norwegian scored a great goal in midweek in the League Cup and might start here, remember though all bets are voided if the player does not enter the pitch before the first goal is scored.

Last week we profited on opposing Reading and we might as well give it another try. Though Newcastle have not been hugely impressive odds of 6/4 (general) seem hard to pass up. Look at it this way Liverpool are 5/6 to beat Norwich. Are Reading as good as Norwich? Are Liverpool as good as Newcastle? I suspect the answer to both questions is NO. Which must mean the price on offer here is a real steal.

Stoke against Swansea is another tough game to predict with bookmakers making the Potters 11/12 (pinnacle/32 Red), the draw is 13/5 (BetVictor) while the away win is 53/15 (pinnacle). Swansea have looked all at sea at the back in recent weeks while Stoke have scored a number of their goals from set-pieces. I think it has been a while since Robert Huth has grabbed a goal and the 20/1 (ladbrokes) have on him scoring first or 7/1 (ladbrokes) to score first.

Sunderland take on Wigan on Saturday and I like the 13/12 (Pinnacle) on the Black Cats to grab their first win of the season here. Steven Fletcher looks the difference between these sides as he is the goalscoring threat that Wigan do not possess. The 13/5 (betfred) are offering on Fletcher to score and Sunderland to win the game looks the way to play this.
