Despite an injury crisis in defensive positions, Manchester United have been able to climb to as high as fourth position in the Premier League. The Red Devils will host Hull City tomorrow (29th November), the Tigers desperate to secure a win after finding themselves on the precipice of the relegation places in 17th place.

Louis van Gaal will still be without a six key faces for the clash though will be buoyed after seeing his replacements keep a clean sheet in their 1-0 win over Crystal Palace and concede only once, despite numerous chances, against Arsenal in their 2-1 victory.

Centre-back Jonny Evans (foot) made his first appearance for the club in a reserve game though is still set to be sidelined alongside Marcos Rojo (shoulder), despite the Dutchman having returned to training. The absences of both players means that van Gaal will choose from Tyler Blackett, Paddy McNair and Chris Smalling, or could choose to play all three, persisting with the formation that saw them survive pressure at the Emirates.

Wing-back Luke Shaw picked up an ankle injury in the Arsenal match-up and will also be out for at least a month. Neither Daley Blind (knee), Phil Jones (shin) nor Rafael (muscle) is ready to lace up their boots for the Old Trafford outfit.

United overcame these concerns to put two past Arsenal on the counter, Kieran Gibbs breaking the deadlock with an own goal before Wayne Rooney made it two ahead of an Olivier Giroud consolation. A solitary goal from Juan Mata was all that was needed to see the team bounce back from a defeat at home to their arch rivals Manchester City at the beginning of the month with a 1-0 win against Palace.

They face a team tomorrow who are without a win in five, though Steve Bruce`s Tigers did rack up consecutive draws away at Arsenal (2-2) and Liverpool (0-0) at the tail end of October.

The Tynesiders failed to score in back-to-back 1-0 defeats at home to high-flyers Southampton and away at relegation favourites Burnley, though took the lead against Tottenham last time out only to succumb to two late goals. Jake Livermore grabbed City`s first goal in three matches against his former employers.

Taking into account United`s ever-growing injury list, their fortune in their last couple of wins and Hull`s form against some of the division`s biggest sides, it may be favourable to bet against the Manchester side despite their 1/3 favouritism (Numerous). A draw is great value at 19/4 with bet365, whilst an away win can be picked up at an enormous 11/1 with Betvictor.

This is said with acknowledgement of the unavailability of a pair of Hull`s key attacking players tomorrow. Three-goal Abel Hernandez will be unavailable for selection for the KC Stadium outfit after getting permission to leave England for his native Uruguay in order to be at the birth of his child.

Their only other absentee is Gaston Ramirez who is serving his first match in a three game ban after seeing red in his team`s clash against Spurs.

As a result, United`s backline should be wary of the twin threat of Mohamed Diame and Nikica Jelavic, the club`s joint top scorers. Having bagged eight goals between them so far already this campaign, Croatian Jelavic can be backed at 9/2 with betfred and Totesport to hit the back of the net at any time, whilst Diame is good value at 17/2 with 32red, 888sport and unibet to seal his fifth of the season.

Meanwhile, most bookmakers make United`s Radamel Falcao the 7/2 favourite to break the deadlock tomorrow.
