Serie A side Internazionale of Milan will go head-to-.head with Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte on Saturday as the International Champions Cup action continues in the USA.

Inter looking for improvement after lacklustre start to pre-season

Inter have had plenty of time to build some momentum ahead of this game, having already played five pre-season matches. Unfortunately, they have struggled for form and have only managed to win of their fixtures game so far - a 2-1 victory against MLS side Real Salt Lake.

In their first ICC game, they were well beaten (3-1) by an impressive Paris Saint-Germain side and were then held to a 1-1 draw by Argentinean side Estudientes on Wednesday night. To be fair to coach Roberto Mancini, he has rested lots of players and has been without the services of inspirational captain Mauro Icardi, who is still recovering from a shoulder injury.

A decent start to pre-season for Bayern

Bayern Munich have fared much better in their pre-season so far having won three of their four games including a 1-0 victory over former coach Pep Guardiola`s Manchester City. In their opening ICC game, they lost on penalties to AC Milan in Chicago after drawing 3-3 in normal time.

While neither side will be at full strength for this clash, it should be a competitive encounter nonetheless. Both teams have had several games to build their fitness levels and experiment with tactical formations, and as the new season approaches, the value of winning these games increases.
