One month ago it seemed as though Alan Pardew would be out of a job and Newcastle United would be requiring a new manager but how things have changed. As the Premier League season enters November, Newcastle start the month in great form, having won three of their last four matches in all competitions, including a great result away to Premier League champions Manchester City in the Capital One Cup.

Liverpool on the other hand have been struggling to get their season going at all. A comprehensive 3-0 home defeat at the hands of Real Madrid was followed up with an equally disappointing 0-0 home Premier League draw with Hull City. The only recent highlight came in the late mid-week defeat of Swansea City in the Capital One Cup, with Mario Balotelli coming on to equalise from the bench and bring a bit of relief to both himself and his manager Brendan Rodgers.

Buoyed by their excellent display at Manchester City, Newcastle go in to this game at 14/5 with bet365 to defeat Liverpool and keep their good run of form going. Newcastle may have to do without striker Papiss Cisse who is nursing an injury and therefore Ayoze Perez is likely to start in attack. The 21 year old Spanish forward scored in the 2-1 defeat of Tottenham Hotspur recently and is available at 9/1 with BetVictor to get the opening goal of the game. Another player who will be pushing for a starting place against Liverpool is attacking midfielder Rolando Aarons. The Jamaican scored the first goal of the game at Manchester City in the Capital One Cup and is on offer at 5/1 with betfred to score at any time during the match.

Liverpool have not been playing well, yet still remain unbeaten in their last five matches domestically and it`s often said that this is the sign of a good team and they are available at 21/20 with BetVictor to leave St James Park with all three points. Brendan Rodgers can call upon a fully rested Raheem Sterling after the England man enjoyed a break in mid-week and he is on offer at 6/1 with paddypower to grab the first goal of the match. A player who took full advantage of his chance against Swansea was Fabio Borini and the Italian could be in line for another start against Newcastle, which makes the 5/2 for him to score at any time with paddypower tempting.

There have been over 2.5 goals in Liverpool`s last 11 away games in the Premier League and there have been over 2.5 goals scored in 11 of the last 13 meetings between Newcastle and Liverpool in all competitions. Considering the way Liverpool have been conceding goals recently, at least 2 in the 5 of the their last 6 Premier League away matches, the 5/6 offered by BetVictor for there to be over 2.5 goals in this one looks difficult to ignore. With that in mind and the way Newcastle are playing in comparison to their opponents, the 6/1 available at Coral for Newcastle to win with both teams to score is definitely worth a look.
