These always work for me :
Around the Clock - Imagine you are standing on a clock face, throw 12 kicks, one to each hour, remember to use all your available kicks and visualise.
Rope Drill - Attach a piece of rope to a wall on either side of a room about chin level. Start with your head on one side of the rope in your standard fighting stance, then walk forward along the rope bobbing and weaving so that your head changes sides with each step, striking as you go, do not allow your head to touch the rope, keep facing forward.
Pad Chase - Get your partner to hold a focus mitt, kick or punch the mitt, your partner then walks slowly around the room in all directions and you must follow him and strike the pad every few seconds.
Line Drill - Your classmates stand in a line and you stand facing the front person. Each person moves you to you and in person throws one or two attacks which you must defend against and counter attack.
Leg Sparring - Spar while holding both hands behind your back. You can fight an opponent who has the same restrictions or one who may use all limbs. This will build your balance and defense skills.
Pivot Drill - Stand and bring one leg off the ground, then using that leg throw many different kicks keeping on the same spot for 1 minute. Keep your hands up guarding your face and do not allow your kicking leg to toucht he ground.
Punch Sprints - Stand in usual stance, throw alternating straight punches at chin level as fast as you can for 1 minute. Rest for about 30 seconds and repeat. Maintain form throughout.
Sit-up and Punch - Assume a bent-knee sit-up position with your partner holding your feet down, your partner holds a punch mitts in each hand. You then have to do a sit-up and then two straight punches at the top of the movement. Imagine that your partner is an opponent you are trying to attack.
Speed Drill - Your partner holds a focus mitt, you try and attack with any kick, punch, etc. Attempt to strike the pad while your partner tries to prevent this by moving it. Make sure your body stays loose and relaxed, do not over stretch to hit the pad.
Multiple Opponents - get your class mates to stand around you in a largish circle, have someone time 1+ minutes, everyone has a numbered and when the person timing shouts out a persons number they must run forward and attack you, you must defend and counter, eg. the person timing shouts out "1 and 3". The people in the circle must continually walk around you so you do not know who is which number.
