If you knew on Friday 5th that the road works were not finished and would continue on Monday signs should have been put out over the weekend to inform drivers! Not put out Monday just before the road is set to close.

Having a diversion in place is normally fine but i agree with the truckers comments on the route chosen by the highways department being a bit of a joke, as a road user and taxpayer you expect to not be led too far off of the beaten track, there certainly are different routes that would have been quicker and thereby being more fuel/cost effective. We all understand that repairs and improvements benefit us all but this is to you, hopefully the man/woman reading this post, the person who is in charge of orchestrating this diversion mockery.....Please update your maps, buy a sat nav,or google maps. Your Autoroute is outdated and its time for an upgrade. Also heading from cambs to felixstowe turning up at the A140 was a nasty shock and excuse my french but a bloody pisstake.

Please can somebody explain why the diversion due to A14 closure J44-J47 goes right up to the A140 rather than using the A1088 between Ixworth and Elmswell??

Which idiot decided to close the a14 jct 44-47 for overnight road closures at 8pm! Why not change it to 9pm like all other road closures? Goodness sake give us poor night truckers half a chance of getting to felixstowe within our 4 1/2 hrs! Instead of a good 45 min diversion!!!!!!
