As a professional driver of 60years I would like to point out that the motorway police deal with most if not all accidents and incidents in a fast and professional way. If motorists were to look at themselves as they pass an accident they would see themselves as rubber necking. nosey. busybodies who are themselves causing tailbacks, and more incidents as they slow down to look instead of keeping their eyes on the road ahead. It is my opinion that most accidents are caused by lack of concentration. mobile phones. undertaking and tailgating. so come on you lot out there stop looking at the police and start looking nearer home.

Any incident, no matter how minor invariably involves masses of police who make no effort to clear the road and get traffic moving. It is almost as if this is deliberate policy to make life difficult for everyone and to teach any government that criticises the police a lesson. Other countries do not work this way. In particular, in Germany the police photograph everything and get traffic moving as quickly as possible. Treating every incident as a crime scene simply means that more police are involved and are diverted from more important tasks as well as costing far more money than is necessary.

Generally the traffic flow on the M25 is a disgrace! If there is an accident or incident there appears to be nothing in place to remove the vehicles involved quickly from the motorway. Considering this is the major ring road around the capital leading to all Major routes something needs to be done urgently. The amount of time and money due to this situation must run into a great deal of money over the year and cost business and individuals dearly! Come on someone deal with this!!!
